Getting ready to book the Hollywood Hip room @ Planet Hollywood for the first weekend in October!

Any suggestions/must do's at PH?

How is the crowd? Casino? Hotel bars? I've heard rumors Prive is going out of business?

Any info helps...thanks!

we just stayed there, but really didnt spend much time at the hotel. room was nice. defiantly give a $20 tip when checking in for a resort room w/view. Or if your not comfortable doing that, call them after youve made the reservation, and they will offer an upgrade for $10 more per night.

i stayed there in march.. i have to say, i wasn't too crazy about the whole place. i mean, location was pretty good. an okay mall. but at the time, there were a lot of construction going on.. and looking at the building of the city centre construction was a bit of an eye sore.

as far as the crowd goes, it is leaning towards the young.. but i did not actually go partying there, or anything. always ended up going to other places lol..

to tell u the truth..i wouldn't stay at planet hollywood again..it served it's purpose for ideal location/price. we did the $20 sandwich at check in..which totally worked..and the guy even waived all our in room incidental fees including all the bottled water we drank there.. but it was just "ok" for me. basically the trip was awesome because of the people we met down there not the hotel. would stay elsewhere next time.
