The "Coalition Package" will be a good one. The M9 and M16 have little to no kick. The M249 SAW will not have that much kick but will surprise you the first time you shoot it. Keep the stock tight in your shoulder, 3-5 round bursts. It's good fun but a bitch to shoot on the move. I don't think you'll be running around though.Originally posted by tangoplus View Postwow those are some crazy guns they have
i hope they have something for newbies too
The Glock 17 (9mm) is a personal favorite and won't have much kick if you are just firing a handgun. Be careful though, as Glocks have no external safety (although they do have safety mechanisms in the trigger).
If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. What do you know, I guess I can contribute something to this forum!

I've shot the Colt .45 and the Thompson before, but haven't shot the MP40 yet, so I really want to try that out.Originally posted by Mike7T7 View PostI think thats what my buddy is going to be shooting im gonna go with the gun store package I wanna try the ak47
The AK is a good gun, better than the M4A1 or the M16 in my opinion. The M's jam very easily, but they are extremely accurate when they shoot. The AK on the other hand shoots more like a machinge gun than a rifle, so it's not as accurate, but it is sturday as hell; you can drop it from a 5 story building & it'll still fire just fine.

It's a dry bolt that's why it doesn't jam. You can bury an AK in sand and dig it up a month later and it will fire. A little dirt on the bolt of an M4 or lack of oil and get ready for a jam! Inaccuracies with an AK can many times be attributed to those who are shooting it, that's why they get a bad rep. Many can be put on semi-auto.Originally posted by IndianDude View PostI've shot the Colt .45 and the Thompson before, but haven't shot the MP40 yet, so I really want to try that out.

I really like the AKS-74 I got the chance to play with for a few weeks over in Poland.
