ok heres the deal: I got an email 2 days ago that its my cousins 30th birthday and there is a crew from LA heading to Vegas Aug 21-24th. Im seriously contemplating going, but not sure about the accomodations. Right now they have a 3 bedroom suite at the Las Vegas Hilton on the Las Vegas Strip which is a timeshare and no casino SO I can stay there as well (getting my own room) for relatively cheap $90/night OR I can stay elewhere like maybe the rio for $100/night BUT then the cabfare comes into play, but if I stay at LVH then there is no casino for the down time gambling.......so with that said what would you guys do if you were in my shoes??

OK maybe it was partially my fault for not being explicit enough, but trust me on this one it doesnt have a casino, its some time share complex, it looks nice...there are like three hiltons up there, this one is the grand vacation club or some shit.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

For me, it would depend on who was going. Staying at your own hotel is always a good excuse to get away.Blackout Artist

IP for $76 a night, Excalibur for $86 a night, Tropicana for $61 a night. Ok so maybe not so many options. I thought there would be more!
I haven't looked at any of the promo codes out there either though. Those are just strip hotels I didn't look at downtown or off the strip. Las Vegas Hilton I found for $88 right at what you said.
Oh, Hooters Casino for $63 a night.

My friend has a timeshare there, just stayed there in May I think. Said his room was decent but didn't stay there much.Originally posted by nyc2vegas View Postdo we agree that the hilton no casino place is out??
I'd imagine you'll be out and about most of the time anyway, but if you gamble obviously you want to stay somewhere close to good action.
It sounds like it wouldn't be the right place for you. Then again, only you know that.
