  • Bellagio Penthouse Suite views...

Do all the Bellagio penthouse suites have fountain/lake views?

I only ask because I'd hate to be in such a nice suite and be forced to look at something OTHER than the strip or fountain shows...

At least if I go into check-in knowing there's some "bad" view suites, I can at least ask for a fountain view at check-in.

nope, the views are all over the place.. lakeview and non lakeview.. Lakeviews at Bellagio can be a lil overrated b/c when you're 30+ floors up at the Bellagio, you're looking down at the show, not at it. It's still nice, don't get me wrong.. I just think people talk it up more than it's really worth. As far as the other views you could be looking north or south, or over towards Rio, the Palms, and the mountains.. And that's actually a nice view at night with the lights on the Rio building and the 3 Palms towers. For room quality, usually the non lakeview rooms will be in better shape since they aren't occupied as often as lakeview ones are.. Lakeview rooms are always the first ones to go and have more wear and tear. But their penthouse suites were all renovated 2 years ago so they should still be in fairly good shape.

Well, yeah, we've got the suite already reserved...got a free night from hotels.com so we're using it there.

I was thinking of trying to do the $20 trick to try and get upgraded into a cypress suite. I assume those all have strip/lake views.

My other three nights will be at the MGM.

I know anything's possible.. but it's highly unlikely a $20 trick is going to get you a Cypress suite.. Or unless they somehow really drop the ball on your reservation and the stars align just right. There is a very limited number of Cypress Suites. So limited, that there's only 13. They're located from floors 4-16
