Is everywhere in the US that bad at the moment?
I've been toying with the idea of moving over there - my dad is american so no visa problems. Am i better off waiting for 12 months or so till employment market gets better?
Prob wouldn't live in vegas though, i don't wanna be that far from a beach.Chillin's #3 fan

Good to know. I'm still paying off a place here, so wouldn't be in a hurry to buy one there anyway. Have been thinking more along the lines of heading over, giving it 12 months and then decide i i wanna stay. I work in travel (for an airline) and bartend as well & I assume as they're both industries that rely on discretionary spending it wouldn't be easy getting work right now.Originally posted by Keebler View PostDepending on where you go, the housing will still be going down (Vegas and Miami are the worst right now). I say wait the 12 months.Chillin's #3 fan

It's funny - I was reading an article about, I think, the Phoenix housing market where because the housing prices are advertised so low, many renters and on-the-fence new home buyers are actually bidding up the prices of some homes, causing another mini-housing bubble.Originally posted by nyc2vegas View Postyoure gonna see houses starting to move now but prices still have a way to go before they stabilize Q210 is when you will start to see positive signs......assuming healthcare doesnt get socialized!
As for 2nd quarter in 2010? That might be an optimistic outlook considering that the economy's laying on a mountain of debt - personal & federal - that should crunch whatever stabilization has been. The only reason Wall St's had a bit of recovery this week was due to the equivalent of an empty gain - cost-cutting (i.e. JOBS)
