I'm not sure why, but Bally's never really appealed to me... location is great for sure, but maybe I'm just a sucker for newer hotels..

I am relatively sure it was Julia's camera...that was a funny scene. We tried for like 5 mins to get you to take our pic, finally someone else had to do it.

$350 for round trip airfare from Chicago + 3 nights at Bally's is the only thing that appealed to me. Perfect location and a bed to sleep in.

So I called back down to the front desk, told them my roommate had the gheys and wanted a view. Ballys (and just Harrah's Rewards Card in general) is good about giving away comped rooms. As long as you play a little bit in their casinos, you get 2 free nights stay (this deal comes around almost every month!)

I reserved 2 free night stay at Ballys South Tower standard room. About 2 weeks before my scheduled stay, I received an email offering an promotional upgrade to the North Tower Deluxe room (The north tower's standard room) for $10 extra per night.
After researching and seeing the difference between the North Tower and South Tower rooms, I decided to go for the upgrade.

The North Tower deluxe room was well worth the $20plus tax I paid for 2 nights:
The room itself is spacious. There's a king sized bed, entertainment center that doubles as a drawer for clothing, a couch & coffee table, a desk with lamp, and a small vanity/make-up area. All this without being too cluttered or feeling crowded.
The bathroom is pretty standard. There's the standard 2in1 bathtub/shower, sink, and toilet. The vanity area by the sink is normal sized (not tiny nor huge). There is a swivel magnifying mirror (for girls wanting to look at their face in 20X) attached to the wall so that's was a plus for my gf.

Room comes with iron+ironing board and hairdryer.
The in-room safe and internet access has a daily fee.
The coupons they give you when you check-in are not that great.

Overall this was a great deal. Maybe not the most luxurious hotel, nor the most party-atmosphere (when my gf & I got dressed up to go clubbing we felt like we were being ogled by everyone in the lobby), but you can't complain about something that's free.
