Noir Bar

First off thanks to everyone on this forum. I have been a lurker for sometime now and I finally took the plunge and joined. Hopefully I will be able to help 1/2 as much as others have on this site.

Me and my best friend want to check out Noir bar! We are not local and therefore don't have all the local hook ups to get in.

I have heard about reservations, what does that entail?

What is the best time to go?

Any advice to get in?

I did view that thread, but it alluded to reservations and I don't know what that really means, bottles or plain reservations?

Also some new views or ideas on getting in would be a help.

I was looking at the yelp reviews of this place and found one funny review:

Went back last night with Master Myke and famed LA DJ Jaquie Jack, and did the Noir-to-LAX thing all night. The crowd still has a nice 'speak-easy' feel to it, though obviously done Vegas-style.

An interesting episode happened last night. I looked over at a slight commotion as 6 bouncers rushed into an area, and I saw them dragging some girl out who apparenty passed out. They managed to somehow revive her, but even after walking her out, there was still some commotion with the club janitor suddenly appearing with boxes of scented carpet cleaner, broom, bucket, etc.

The girl managed to somehow take a shit while on the floor passed out (she was in a skirt), and there was... em... shit all over the floor. As amusing as that was, I was more impressed with how professionally and expeditiously it was handled.

This lounge is run by pros. I have to admire that.

HAHAHAHA...taking a dump while passed out, must have been a good mix of liquour, drugs and laxatives. Reminds of that scene in trainspotting where, the bug eyed character wakes up in some chics bed and there is shit under the sheets.

Well then I have no choice then but to try to get into Noir Bar, if not only to see what other gross misshaps will be taken care of quickly!

Never even heard of Noir. And that yelp review is disgusting.

Noir is a cool secluded spot adjacent to LAX.. It's the after hours of LAX essentially and there's always a-listers and celebrities there. I can't tell ya how a normal person would be able to get in since we had bottle service at LAX and our host walked us into Noir everytime we wanted to go in. It's not a big area, probably a rectangular room that's 2000 sqft or so. Taking pictures with your camera in there is prohibited as well due to some of the clientele hanging out at Noir. The place is not cheap to drink.. My host gave us drink tickets so we had comped drinks. Some others had to buy their drinks and spent a nice fortune. They do have some really good house drinks there though.

As far as Yelp reviews go, I take that with a grain of salt. While I'm sure there maybe a lot of informative reviews there, a lot of the people that post "club" reviews probably wouldn't appreciate the difference between partying at Polly Esther's and Tryst.
