  • Conference = Free Vacation

Soooo I'm watching all these people at work going to these "conferences" in Vegas... free plane tickets.. free room on the strip.. free rental car.. free meals.. it's kind of like a vacation, isn't it?

Where can I find a list of all the conferences in Las Vegas for 2010? I need to make plans now

I believe you'd have to talk to your boss about that... if he's down tell him I'm looking for work! lol

OR..... you could just check out which conferences/companies seem to bring in the largest number of employees and then search the employment ads...

          Haha exactly.

I can tell you for sure the HD Expo (which is a hotel design industry) has a conference every year in May. Im there every year and we party our asses off every night on the strip.

Go to the Las Vegas Vistors website, it will have a ton of large events listed on there. What industry do you work in? There are huge shows for almost every industry.

                  www.lcva.com/meetings/convention-calendar.jsp

this lists all conventions booked in vegas, and also usually has where they're being held. pretty handy if you want to see when hotels are likely to be expensive too.

Well my bro and me will be going for the world series of beer pong Jan 1-5! It's like 500 per person for the length of the stay at the flamingo. Not too bad of a deal, last year winner took $50k!

Here's the link! It's like $500 something per person but its 2 teammates per room. So a bit over $1k per team. My bro and me will most likely be doing it so it should be a fun drunk time!

                          Seminars

Don't overlook seminars as well. I've been to Vegas twice for seminars being held in a meeting room at one of the hotels.

Maybe a seminar to learn the official International Rules of Beer Pong. I hear everywhere else in the world they call it "soccer".

                            CTIA -- March 2010

                            TangoPlus,

If you're in the Wireless industry, you should look into CTIA Wireless Conference.
                            http://www.ctia.org/conventions_events/wireless/

It's going to be held March 23-25, 2010. It's one of the biggest conferences when it comes to the wireless industry. I went to one of these in 02 and was a blast! This year conferences were way down, I believe like 30% but this should make the prices next year more attractive, so might be easier for you're "boss'es" to approve it. Good luck! and let the Free - Vacations begin!!
