WOW .. Great Las Vegas Air/Hotel Packages

I dont like them but there the only company that flies from kc to vegas direct no pit stops . Last year when I flew with them they overbooked and there was two of us with out a seat. We played paper rock scissors for the last seat. I think I would of got the seat anyway because the guy was flying by himself and I was with a group. true story

Southwest may suck, but wait till u here about AirTran!

Like everything, bad service is relative. There's bad because of the way they do business, Southwest is and always have been a "low frills" AirLine. If you remember that then when you fly them you will be able to deal with them better. No FirstClass here, everyone is equal, except in the price they paid. The sooner you book on Southwest, the less you pay. But for me, you can't beat the non-stop flights. But that's relative as well, if you're out of Dallas, they can't fly non-stop from Love Field, because of the "wright amendment" .. Politics at it's Finest.

Ok. enough rambling, on to AirTran! I have flown alot of airlines in my days, and I must say AirTran is the Worst!! 1 day extra in Atlanta, and not in my travel plans is the proof. This was in early August. We planned a trip to NC, ... not Vegas, But all I can say is OBX rules .. So the trip there was delayed 2 hours out of San Antonio, but the flight to Raleigh was delayed as well, so all was fine, but going back on Sunday, the flight in Raleigh was delayed 2 hours (strange coincidence) and that was not fine, all the flights Monday were booked (ok actually over booked, as I found out all AirTran flights are) and they said, but we can get you out WEDNESDAY!) WTF ??? So we spend the night .. OK actually 5 hours at an ATL Motel, and go back to find out we lost sleep for nothing, the 9am flight was overbooked as well. After a debate among our party, we took the offer to fly to Houston and then we drove to San Antonio, 3.5 hours later by car we were home.
AirTran is based in ATL, all their flights start there and fan out, then return to ATL, so if ATL has bad wheather, you're screwed. And then I find out they used to be ValueJet! I know I'll never be flying them again! Give me Southwest Airlines any day of the week!

you're only saving grace is hopefully getting A boarding pass.. and getting a bulkhead seat or exit row seat with extra legroom. SWA flyers generally aren't the most savvy and wouldn't think to find the seat with more legroom.

Considering US Airways followed suit of American and upped their checked luggage fee to $20 a flight, I'll keep my $40 RT and take SWA whenever possible.

I hate US Airways more than I can describe. Every time I have flown them has been an utter and complete nightmare. I really like Southwest, I actually just signed up for their credit card because you get really great rewards.

I only fly American. Thats all i have ever flown since i was a kid and ive had an AAdvantage # since i was like 10 and i get upgraded on most flights im on because im a platinum member. So for that reason i dont see me flying anything else unless i have to.
