So here's the deal. I like to go out and have a good time, but I'm not really a big liquor drinker. I'm actually a pretty big beer geek, so I like to have a few quality brews when I go out. I don't expect nightclubs to have any Trappist ales or quality microbrews, but it'd be nice to have a Sierra Nevada or Sam Adams to go to. So what can you guys tell me about the beer selection at most Vegas nightclubs? Is there anything I can go with, or am I pretty much stuck with Bud Light and Corona?

Cisco has it kinda right. The clubs dont really stock anything but your standard highly sponsored beer like Bud Light and Miller Light. I mean they do have Coronas and things like that, but if your looking for a Hoegaarden or a Sierra Nevada i dont think your going to find one. (well maybe Sierra Nevada considering your in NEVADA, but who knows). But i remember the last time i asked for a Sam Adam's they didnt have them. That was in The BANK.GO BIG OR GO HOME

There's a bar in vegas, I'm not sure where, but they have like 300 bottles/drafts and tons of rare stuff-one is a beer that is like $70 a bottle, it's the one that these monks make and they don't allow you to import, so people have to do it on the sly. I just found it on some top of vegas list (I think it has frogs in the name) and I'm planning on taking my husband there next time we go together-he's a beer fanatic-so it might be worth going to if you get the chance.Originally posted by BarrelO View PostSo here's the deal. Freakin Frog has Westvleteren? Holy crap! I know there are beer bars in Vegas, but I wasn't really planning on hitting them up since I can get good beer in DC. If I'm going to Vegas, I want to do things I can only do there. Plus, the UNLV area seems kind of far from the Strip. But I'll definitely go out of my way for Westy.Originally posted by partyinvegas25 View PostThere's a bar in vegas, I'm not sure where, but they have like 300 bottles/drafts and tons of rare stuff-one is a beer that is like $70 a bottle, it's the one that these monks make and they don't allow you to import, so people have to do it on the sly. But yeah, I was asking specifically about the nightclubs. It looks like the situation is pretty much what I figured. I should consider myself lucky I can get an Amstel Light. And if they have Sierra Nevada, I'll probably do a backflip. Thanks for the input, everyone. The only winning move is not to play.

Just to follow up a bit, I checked out the menu at the V Bar. Apparently, they carry the following:
Amstel Light, Bud, Bud Light, Chimay Blue(!), Coors Light, Corona, Fat Tire, Guinness, Heineken, Michelob Ultra, Miller Lite, Newcastle, Sierra Nevada, Stella Artois
I'm not entirely sure, but they might have a few others as well. Anyway, would you all say this is representative of the Vegas club scene? The only winning move is not to play.

I love the V-bar. Theres never a cover to get in. I saw Wayne Brady chilling there in a booth with a bunch of girls.
