  • Best music / not house music!

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for a nice club to go to that doesn't play house music! I heard Sunday nights at XS have 80's/90's music, any truth to that? I prefer rock, so I'm gonna check out Wasted Space, but don't even mind Top 40 as long as it is something I have heard before!

I'm in my early 30's if that gives an idea what generation I belong to. We want to get table service this weekend somewhere...so trying to decide which would have the best music. I'm going to the Incubus concert Saturday night so wanting to do a club either Friday or Sunday night.

    Thanks!

I heard Rokhouse has more rock music if you wanna check that place out. Most clubs will be bumpin top 40 so you can't really go wrong with many places. I'm sure other people will chime in here in a bit.

Yea I'm sure you wouldn't mind hearing some Tom petty, don't think it's going to happen. Maybe some dj am mashups you will get the same tired lynard skynard sweet home Alabama but that's probably about it. Bars possibly clubs don't think so. Polyesthers would of been perfect but they closed down. The bars I have heard rock at were carnival court bar outdoor spot next to harrahs, Hawaiian tropic zone and sometimes at Toby kieths bar. If your willing to travel off the strip there's a few rock / alt rock type lounges/bars in old downtown. Try yelp.com I'm having a block on which bar I'm thinking of.

This may sound cliche but you can actually look into ROK nightclub at nyny if that's a bust then coyote ugly..... Lol that's all I know
        Appreciate Vegas

XS and Tryst does a good job of staying away from pure house. They have a little bit of top 40 house, but thats pretty much mixed in with the top 40 hip hop, r&b etc.

JC listed a bunch of clubs that do place house and on which nights. http://jackcolton.com/which_las_vegas_clubs.htm
Check it out and you will know when to stay away from them.
