What would you do?

Here's my dilemma:

I've got a chance to go twice on two smaller trips or once on one bigger trip.

The two smaller trips would be July 17-19 and then August 28-30

OR

a bigger longer trip that would run from August 26 - 30.

The shorter trip would be hitting up Friday:LAX/Saturday: Body English with almost no chance of any pools.

The longer trip would be a tentative itinerary of the following:

Wednesday: Blue Martini/LAX/Body English
Thursday: Bare in the day, Tryst, then a distant second is Tao
Friday: finally get my ass to Ditch in the day or failing that Wet Republic, LAX/Pure/Rain (my buddy REALLY wants to go there)/Tryst or XS
Saturday: Moorea Beach or Wet Republic in the day, Body English/Pure/etc.
Sunday: whatever pool in the day before heading home.

I've costed out everything (hotel, airfare, food, alcohol) and it would cost the same pretty much the same to do two trips as it would to do one longer one.

I'm only kind of contemplating two trips because I would have a place to stay and it'd be kind of nice to go back-to-back months, but if I did go longer, there's a good chance that I'd GO HARD all 4 nights and 5 days (I arrive into LAS around noon.)

In both cases, I'll be the one organizing everything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm gonna be down there in August with 20+ friends from work (we work for a sports team and it'll be a mix of girls and guys, so we're fun ), so if anyone is interested in meeting up while I'm down there, let me know.

Lots of members here are going the July 17-19 weekend (myself included) so it's definitely going to be fun if you're looking to meetup with people. If it's the best option for you though, not sure.

I would rather do two trips just to get away twice, but that's me and it all depends on your situation. Why no pools if you take the two small trips?

big weekend for the JC members it's also worth it. For your case... Go twice!!! That weekend in July will be worth it!!!

I'd do the two short trips but you have to try to get some pool time in there. If doing the short trips means not having time for anything though, go with the long one. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. Two trips would definitely be great though because after the first one, you'll be glad you get to come back.

I just messaged the friend that's going to be there from July 15-20 and I told him to book me on a flight on August 26 and I'll keep my package/return flight on August 30.

I can happily say that I've done the back-to-back already (I feel weird saying this). I did a stint where I went May/June/July/August/September 2007 and it was a lot of fun.

The reason there'd be no pools is I'd arrive on July 17 at least after 6:30 pm and then on July 18...well, my friend avoids the sun (in his words) "like the plague".

I'm Asian, but a little darker skinned, so I have no issues with it. Actually, I'm all over it like a kid loves gummi bears (and I do love gummi bears). I'd still go to the pools myself, which I've done in the past, but it'd be more fun to go with someone.

In August, I already know at least two guys who'll probably get a total of less than 10 hours sleep in 4 days combined, so that's what I'm leaning towards.

-I also found that the airfare for July 17-19 is a killer (especially because I'm leaving out of Canada). It will be at least 200.00 return for a two night trip?! That's crap.

Oh - BTW, I'm now booked for August 26, arriving at 12:30 pm! I get the whole day to GET SAUCED.

Ha! I sympathize with your bud - my fair skin burns easily... But I'm still going to make it out to the pool scene anyway! Just hope I don't turn beet red!

I heard about Blue Martini from some true locals.

I say true locals because friends that live down there have pretty much called me "local". I hang out with locals, I go to locals joints and I have a local phone number. My next goal is to get a place there-seriously.

I've been to Town Square several times, mostly to eat at Yard House. I've been in Blue Martini, but my friends were denied entry because of the dress code.
