Muse! They come from my home town (well, just outside, actually)! I passed up the opportunity to see them playing in my local pub when they started out because someone had told me they were crap. Oh how wrong they were. I've seen them a few times since though

They sounded better when they were called Depeche Mode

Pink Floyd will always be my fave, but turned into an electronica fan a few yr's ago. Crystal Method is great, but also love Moby, Fatboy Slim, Felix da Housecat, Chemical Brothers. I use to like Lady GAGA (or should I say Guy GAGA) but if I here Paparazzi one more time I just might pull out my hair.

Hey, have you tried Elbow? Another British band on the rise...

Seldom Seen Kid is a great album

And if Mr E is doing the 'hometown band' band thing:

Arctic Monkeys, from Sheffield, kiss ass.

Glad you like them - they won last year's Mercury music prize, Seldom Seen Kid is one of my best album's of last year.

Also try Glasvegas: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMT418TyRiA[/ame] (don't worry if you don't understand it at first - Glaswegian is a HARD accent) but it's a beautiful album.

And La Roux: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOYufRHQSms[/ame] Bulletproof has been in my head for weeks...

So funny after hearing Elbow here the other night I watched the movie Echelon Conspiracy and they had that same song in the movie. LOL So I went to listen to some of their other stuff, don't like as much as their divorce song.

I've been searching for Vegas songs (doesn't necessarily have to be Vegas themed).

I just want to compile the best songs that sound like Vegas and give the mood of Vegas (if that makes any sense). It can be old, new, whatever.

                            For example,

Frank Sinatra - Luck be a lady tonight

Clearly Black eyed peas needs to be on the list - in Vegas tonight is aways going to be a good good night.

on a sadder note: Sheryl Crow - leaving las vegas - in my head most of the flight home
