I am thinking about getting a Cabana @ WET for my friend's birthday in late July.

It will be a total of 6 of us, was thinking about getting (2) day beds or a cabana. I also thought about getting a 'lounge' but I am not too sure what that is or how much better it is. I assume a table by the bar which is kind of boring.

Is the price of $2000 per cabana what you need to spend in F&B? Is gratuity and tax usually included in this price?

Any information or experiences would be great. Thanks in advance.

usually thats f&b which does not include tax and tips, but best thing is to contact a host from there and ask them directly

I definitely think a cabana is worth the money relative to what you get with the lesser rentals. I was just doing the same research recently. I spoke to a VIP host at Wet Rep named Dan. Nice guy. He said that the party cabana accommodates 10 but it has no ameneties other than furniture. The deluxe cabana is the same cabana but it includes a large flatscreen xbox, safe and refrigerator...for an extra $500. I didn't ask this question, but I am pretty sure that tax and gratuity are NOT included in the F&B minimum.

If its a group of 6 guys i would recommend getting the VIP couches by the bar...there is a constant flow of ladies coming to get drinks, so you invite them to join you instead :P ...we had to run up a tab of ~1500 and there were around 10 of us...most of the cabanas are on the outskirts and the party was closer to the dj booth...by the bar

Thanks for all the great info everyone. We are leaning towards a cabana as the girls want to be able to tan. Are the lounge couches by the bar covered or exposed to sunlight?

extragolden - I would say the VIP couches are even better...the Cabanas are on the outskirts and its more convenient meeting girls coming to the bar and telling them to join you instead...literally just wave em down and they will come lol...you cant really do that with the cabanas...you will have to go mingle around the pool, meet them, and then invite them back...

fresh- A roof covers the couches and the bar. The bar is literally 2 steps away from the couches. The cabanas are covered with some kind of fabric. I think you have to pay extra for tanning chairs. The chairs are all around the pool but the biggest tanning section is closest to the bar ...by the couches....so i would recommend the couches...just makes the most sense

Oh...another thing...the waitresses will take longer to bring the drinks to the cabanas...with the Vip couches our waitresses would bring us buckets of beer and drinks within minutes of our initial request

Thanks AI. I heard the same advice from another guy too. I think I'm going with the couches (called "lounge table" by Wet Republic) for my bachelor party of 6 on July 25th. Basically a no brainer to save $1k (compared to deluxe cabana) and get a better location, in spite of a few less amenities. I just hope my Friday night isn't too over the top that I spend my Saturday passed out on those VIP couches!

I have to agree. All the action was close to the bar and behind the DJ booth. If you are there to meet girls, thats the best place to be. I saw more of couples and groups of (mixed sex) friends in those bigger cabanas with the flat screens. Samething applies with the pool. The main pool is where all the singles were, and the side pool were mostly couples that didn't want to be bothered.

Extragolden, dont worry about those amenities...i think you get a little fridge and an x-box with the cabanas but why would you play xbox when there are tons of beautiful ladies beside you!

The party really begins sat so don't go too crazy. Wet republic is ridiculous and Sunday at rehab gets even better. Just take it easy fri bro (ie Ditch fridays at the palms lol)

Dnix - its two big couches...each can seat around 4 people. We had to spend a min of 1500...

Make sure to ask your waitress to cut you off at 1500...it could get sloppy

Oh man, its been about a month and every day i think about vegas...it was just that good.

I believe that's called coming down! lol It does get a bit depressing once you get back from Vegas... but the cure is planning your next trip(s).

Cisco, they screwed up quite a bit at mgm when i was there (ie...gave me a room with people already in it and then i found a little something something in my new room) ...so i will be getting a few nights free...you should be a fortune teller lol
