Clubs VS. Lounges

Folks- I come to Vegas with friends (about 7 guys in their thirties) for a 3 day weekend about every 1-2 years, and we generally like to have as much fun as possible. To boil it down, about half the fun equates to having the single guys among us hook up with one or more decent-to-hot-looking ladies each night (I know, we are really original!). Our general strategy is to get a good table at a good club and then basically have our very well-tipped host troll around the club and bring women to us. This year we are adding some pool parties (cabanas at Wet Republic and Bare) to our plans since their seem to be similar scenes to the clubs. However, I am wondering if a lounge might be as good or better than a club (maybe less expensive too?) in terms of meeting women. Any comments? I have not been to any lounges in Vegas.

Also, let me know if you hear of anything special going on (at a club, pool, or lounge, etc.) during the weekend of July 23-26, 2009. -EG

there arent too many lounges out there, the only ones that come to mind are blush, tabu and mist and to be honest I really dont think its worth it to get tables at those joints, the pool parties are just as good as nightclubs and between nightclubs and the pools your in good shape

General rule of thumb: as the prices of the drinks drop, so does the overall quality of the club/lounge.

Hey theres nothing wrong a man's vacation. I have been to Tabu and Blush, and they were pretty solid lounges. However VIP services doesn't seem to be a focus at these places. I have seen 50 yr old business men with 2 or 3 girls all over them at Blush, and at Tabu I have seen empty tables that are available for everyone to use.

Just stick to the clubs and pool parties for the best action. Can't go wrong there.

I think...

pools is a better option than the club because clubs have a higher chance of attracting bottle-whores.

At the pools, there is a better chance of "screening" the talent, so to speak.

The downside to this is that there will be always more girls to pick and choose from at the nightclubs than pools.
