Hip-hip other than Poetry....july 4th weeknd

whats up everyone....not sure if hip-hop if ur preferred music or not but was wondering if anyone knows a club other than poetry (my favrite) that plays a lot of hip-hop? im trying to hit different clubs this time but still wanna make sure there will be hiphop at least in one room on friday, saturday nites during july 4th weekend. thanks!

If you are a hip hop head like me, don't expect to hear underground anywhere else but Poetry. Most major clubs play hip hop ... pretty much what you hear on the radio and some new joints that haven't reached the airwaves yet.

That one of the main reasons I like Pure. On tuesdays they play a lot of old school hiphop, even if it was the mainstream music at the time. Old tupac, biggie, jayz, method man, etc, mixed in with new music.

I know you asked for clubs other than Poetry, but I figured I'd chime in to let you know its a big weekend at Poetry that weekend. Thursday is the 6th year anniversary party featuring E40. Friday has Ciara's purse party followed by New Boyz ("You're a jerk") and Saturday features a performance by Ray J. And Swagger Sundays have been totally sick since Memorial Weekend.

lol.mannn...now u got me wanting to go all three nites cuz i almost always end up there......the dj's are damn good and there is always something going down there, never had problems.........not sure if you know or not, whats up with bottle prices there?

Bottle prices are pretty much on the slightly less ridiculous end of the spectrum compared to the other hot spots. As a general rule, the prices start at $400 per bottle (1 bottle per 3 ppl) and the table fees start at $150 (but they are subject to go up on a weekend like this.) The number to reach the club is toll free 1-800-465-8700 (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by including that here.) Saturday and Sunday will definitely be the two HUGE nights so try to get your reservation in by no later than this Wednesday for either of those nights.

You gotta check out Rain Nightclub in the Palms... Friday nights are sick there- DJ AM is the resident DJ there on Friday nights and he spins some sick hip-hop beats..

Not only do they play hip-hop music but there is always shit going on there.. they host tons of different events there, they definitely will have something going on the week of the 4th.

What night did you go to LAX? I havent been to LAX since right when they opened but it was DJ AM so it wasn't the resident DJ..
