TI is... well, I don't have anything bad to say... but I wish we'd have stayed elsewhere. We were familiar from our stay there last year which brought the choice. For a Thurs/Fri/Sat in mid June, and a "upgraded" strip view room, it was about $500 which includes tax, fees, etc. That's with no special comps or anything, just as advertized prices.
Rooms: All have been remodled. Marble floors in the bathrooms, excellent mattresses, flat screen tv.
Restaurants: The Coffee Shop has good breakfast, Kahunaville does not. Francesco's Pizzaria is nothing to write home about. Where's my pizza sauce, btw? Didn't eat anywhere else here.
Pool: It's a wavy shape, there was a good 15 cabanas available and sexy pool girls to wait on you (anyone, not just cabanas). Always has music playing but Friday, Sat, Sun there is a DJ playing from about 12 to 5. But it's not very big so it got crowded. The people were mixed, lots of young partiers but also some middle aged adults. And a few pesky kids doing cannonballs.
Christian Audigier the Nightclub: I read lousy reviews of it on Yelp. And c'mon who thought a nightclub should be named after a fashion designer? We planned to stop in just to see, since we're at the hotel already. But we just weren't compelled. Bonus: I saw a tv ad while riding the escalater and found it's pronounced "Audighey". That answers that.
Location: depends where you want to go, but it's a long walk to anything south past Caesars. The Wynn/Encore and Palazzo/Venetian and Mirage are all easy access. There's a free tram to the Mirage.
Overall: you know, the service was good, the rooms were clean and modern, it's got a tram to the Mirage, it was really crowded so it's not like a forgotten moldy oldie or anything. The crowd was mixed but plenty of 20 somethings. I don't have a nasty thing to say about TI, really.
So I'd recommend TI for a moderate budget, it's better than slumming at the Imperial Palace, but if you can spend a few hundred bucks extra on the hotel and are hoping for a better pool scene or more central location, you might think about elsewhere.
