  • Headed to XS for Deadmau5 10/30 - Need advice...

I am a girl headed to Vegas for Halloween (also my 28th birthday, woot!). Since I'm not a Vegas frequenter, I am not exactly privy to Vegas "best practices" so I need a little advice.

I am wanting to make a table reservation at XS for the Deadmau5 show 10/30 for 2-3 people. Can someone tell me what the minimum will be? I am footing the bill myself (unless I convince some others to join in) and am really not looking to spend $2K solo. At that rate I'd rather just buy GA tickets now and buy bottles when we get there (sad since I would normally never do general admission).

I know most people probably think $2K is nothing for vegas.. but c'mon.. I'm a fine lady here and really not used to making these types of arrangements myself .

Basically I'm wondering if I will be able to spend $600-$1200 on a bottle/table upfront, get in the show and not have to wait in line.. or if it is likely that that kind of money wont get me a table and I am better off buying pre-sale tix now before they sell out.

I really want to take care of this early rather than try to figure out my arrangments that weekend. I wish I had a bigger crowd going with me to go all out on a big table.. but I don't

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

    From what I was quoted:

2k starting just for a table on the pool deck
    3-4k starting for inside

We're going to XS for deadmau5 as well that weekend. We usually wing it when we get there. Have a couple connections that helps us out for table service. But this one we contacted in advance for tickets just in case we dont do bottle. But as far as bottle, we dont decide until the day.

YA if you're by yourself, bottle is way overkill. LOL. Thats alot to drink alone. You need to at least share and have fun with others with that bottle. hehe.

I would just go GA for now than dropping for a bottle. I dont know how it will be for that night but its on avg $400-600 in many places. but it can be as high as $1000-3000 on a popular weekend like this

3-4 bottle min. Only way to get it cheaper is if they don't sell out and u book last minute. Doubt they won't sell out though. The sell out most saturdays without an event.

Another option that might help would be to post in the Get Connected section that you'd be interested in joining a table. Seems like a lot of forum members will be in town that weekend & XS seems to be the club most of the posters are headed to Sunday night.

            Thanks all for the replies.

I will definitely try to find more peeps to go in on a table, but looks like I may end up having to do General Admission just in case - wah-wah.

What do I have to do to just make sure I don't wait in line? is it worth getting the VIP ticket? Or should I just give someone cash at the door? may have another guy and girl with me...

I just got back from partying in Ibiza 2 weeks ago, but for some reason trying to figure out Vegas is overwhelming me!!

I have a table and need a few more people, cost is around 350 per person, max people is 10. Im personally throwing 500 on it as part if my host awards prize. Check out the face book halloween thread and/ or call/ text me. My table is inside and a great location

We saw deadmau5 at XS on MDW this year...we did pre-sale tix from wantickets which were $150 guys/$50 girls I think. We walked right in at 11:30pm (5 min wait maybe) and were immediately glad we didn't pay for bottles. It was cold outside and about 1/2 the outside tables were empty, inside was so packed that you couldn't even move/dance, and they stopped letting people inside soon after we got there. We ended up getting a daybed/lilypad thing in the middle of the pool with a great view of the DJ booth and chilled there for most of his set.

I was there on MDW too. Did the same deal, got presale tix , we were like 5 girls, 3 dudes. We got in right away (faster than bottle service line). I lost my group at some point, ended up partying with random ass people all night, had prime time spot right by the stage outside. I was able to sit by the tree, sit my drinks etc..

And his stage was setup to look outside and inside so he was randomly turning around. lol They didn't let anybody in from outside for a while. But I still had a blast with no bottle service.

Considering it would be bit colder for Halloween weekend I am not sure how standing outside all night will work out. So far I got GA tix, we shall see what happens.

Awesome.. I was hoping to hear from some people who have done GA (kind of in my same situation).

So is there any real difference between the "VIP admission" tickets and regular GA tickets? Will it really make any diffrence (other than the complimentary drink, etc)?

They didn't offer VIP tickets for his MDW show, but the entry process for pre-sale was very quick, efficient, and professional - there was a separate entrance to the left as you enter the Encore and a separate queue that moved very quickly (just long enough for ID and ticket checks).

I'm not sure of the price difference, but if it's more than $20-30 I probably would stick with the GA tix.

''Front of Ticket Line privileges, Novelty items, and Complimentary Drink''

That's what it says for VIP tickets. I don't think ''front of ticket line privileges'' will be worth it due to line moves pretty quickly anyway. ''Complimentary drink'' nice but wont be worth it either IMO , I dunno what they will give as "novelty items" (if they give mau5 head or something it might be worth it )

So if you have extra cash to blow on ticket you can go for it i guess otherwise I don't think it will be worth it to spend extra cash for the VIP ticket.

If you can afford it, either get your own table or get in on my table. its going to be a mess outside and in. For those of you who have done table with me before at XS, you know that we dont wait even if there are 100 table ahead of us, so this who "tix line moves faster than table line" idea is out of the question. We walk up and go in, takes just the time to write the slip, mark the table at the podium and check ID's.
