Hi - looking for some thoughts on a restaurant for dinner for a group of 14 guys, all late twenties. My date is set (Tuesday 27th December) and plan A was Casa di Amore however I contacted them and they are shut on Tuesday's.

My budget is around $100-120 a head, including a few drinks, tip, etc. Thinking Italian or Steakhouse (although I'm aware best steakhouses are probably a stretch on that budget) but open to any other suggestions. We are staying at the Cosmopolitan and will be heading out for to a club after but happy to taxi as required.

My absolute favorite place to go is Del Frisco's. They have amazing food and a great selection of wines as well. They also have a cigar lounge which is really cool. However its not on the strip, I believe it was 1 or 2 blocks behind the Venetian. But it is so worth going there.

I would say my 2 favorite places are: Bouchon (see review in this section) and Verandah at Four Seasons. If you like scotch or whiskey, Verandah is the spot, they are the only place in vegas that makes their own ICE BALLS (no melt with your drink)

With 100-120 per head, you have quite a few options available. Definitely go to a nice restaurant in a top strip hotel.

Steakhouse: Prime (Bellagio) is great. Cuts are generous and really great and the dining room is elegant and has windows overlooking the Bellagio fountains. It might push your budget a little, but totally worth it. Skip the drinks and just get a few bottles of a big red wine for those steaks.

For Italian, I like Scarpetta at Cosmo. The food is delicious and the sommelier Paolo is awesome! Also good is B&B at the Venetian. Food Network chef Mario Batali's restaurant. He also owns Carnevino steakhouse which is nice too.

Sage in the Aria is really awesome too. The food is dynamite and the room is sexy and chic, yet elegant. Food is French/American, though their meat dishes are superb (my favorite are the scallops however!)

I'd recommend against Joel Robuchon's (not rubicon) less expensive place, called L'Atelier. It only has maybe 4 normal sized tables. The vast majority of seats are at the counter that overlooks the kitchen. Absolutely spectacular restaurant, but not OK for a group of 14.

I found RM Seafood to be rather boring and kind of out of the way... A lot better options out there if you want something similar (i.e. seafood heavy). One of Michael Mina's restaurants perhaps? His namesake restaurant in the Bellagio is upscale and the lobster pot pie is amazing (and huge)! AmericanFish is also great. The greatest seafood restaurant in Vegas right now is also the newest in town: Milos in the Cosmopolitan. (Great 20 dollar lunch special!)

Joe's Stone Crab and Prime Steaks at Caesars will be well in your budget. It will give you a food coma so order wisely.
