Does Marquee have a LET tax every weekend. Couple weeks ago I paid 38% tax and had a promoter ask me for a for a big tip upfront. BTW for what its worth most Night Clubs including Wynn properties XS/Tryst has a strict code against asking for a tip or even trying to initiate one. But I guess its okay if the promoter posts on this site.

Who is the promoter, IMO asking for a tip is just wrong.

i believe marquee almost always has LET as there's almost always some DJ on their schedule they use to justify it.

as for tipping upfront, it has NOTHING to do with hosts posting on this site. It's a Vegas practice regardless of if they post here or not and regardless of the strict rules. Some hosts ask upfront and some don't. Some customers like it because it's straightforward (hate to find out your reso got bumped because you weren't ready to pay up at the door) and some can't stand it. But I stress, it has nothing to do with whether a host posts on here or not.

Its actually not permitted to demand a tip in vegas. Hosts can be fired for this. How XS and Marquee get away with it is saying its a table charge. Notice how non tipping tables get outside seating at xs.

Wynn definitely does not allow tip solicitation.

Gary, 38% is accurate with LET.

Maybe I'm interpreting this wrong but isnt that the standard for Marquee? 20% autograt + 10% let + 8% sales tax = 38%?

                          Waitress Auto Grat - 20%
                          LET - 10%
                          Tax - 8.1%

At Marquee its standard to take whatever you buy and multiply by 1.381 for your total amount.

In regards to the host tip, that is up to your own discretion.

100 a bottle isnt the norm in vegas, for me anyways. The highest I paid a promoter is 200 for dance floor tables.
