  • Any place to get an old fashioned shave?

Since my trip isn't until December and the pools will most definitely be closed we are trying to kill the days with other fun activities. I tried a "best shave ever" on my last cruise, but it was with a stupid normal razor and not a straight blade. So the question is, where can I get one of these types of shaves in Vegas?

Art of Shaving at Mandaly Bay, actually it's in Mandalay Place - the shopping between the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. They do straight razor shaves.

There are several places. Both the Mirage and Bellagio offer "Royal" Shave services. I have no personal experience with those options. But, their Spa/Salon reputation is very solid so you could probably expect commensurate quality. In the past, I have used the Art of Shaving at Mandalay Place and the Barber Shop at the South Point. I thought the service at the South Point was a little better than the Art of Shaving and it was cheaper.

Also, by Nevada Law they are required to use a disposable razor blade. So, they use a straight razor and change out the blade to keep the experience reasonably authentic.

They also have a place in the canal shoppes. Booked a surprise there for a lucky individual myself really for $55 you can't get a more many "spa" type of feeling. Reviews are stellar.

Last trip, I stumbled upon Gerardo's Classic Barber Shop in Chinatown....3869 Spring Mountain Road....Awesome Old School Barbershop which is actually right next to Mayweather's Training Camp....Guess its a really popular locals spot.
