Club Cover charges?

[Dirty Mike]

Ok so me and some friends are planning our first Vegas trip for Oct 2011. From reading the guides on clubs on this website I was curious how close are the guides to the actual cover charge? The guide says cover for most of the popular clubs are anywhere from $30-$40 I have a buddy who said he went to tryst and had to pay $70 cover to get in. Any insight would be great

It really does range, depending on the night, who's performing, how long the lines are. There's also a difference between the official cover and the price the bouncer says to pay him for him to let you in.

Most of the regulars on here though rarely pay cover because we usually either either work out a guestlist/host walk in, get bottles, get some sort of wristband that helps with entry.

30-40 sounds like the norm though. Prepare to pay a lot more to the bouncers though if you're ratio is bad or you want to shorten your wait.
