First time doing GA at a pool party this upcoming trip. Previously I would leave my things in my shoes at the daybed, would this be smart to do if I'm able to find a spot to put a towel down or am I being naive? I am aware there are lockers

I would wear cheap sandals that i don't mind losing. I've had people steal/mistakenly taken my shoes many times.Originally posted by PLAGUE View PostFirst time doing GA at a pool party this upcoming trip. What kind of belongings? I always leave my shirt, flip flops (distinct ones so they've never been accidentally taken), and my sunscreen stashed somewhere away from the pools edge (near the palm trees at EBC is a good example) so my shirt doesn't get wet. I wouldn't leave my phone or my wallet though since I feel like that's just asking for a bad time. Typically I'll take my phone, wallet, ID, room key, and a small amount of cash all in a waterproof case into the pool, so then I can take photos and video while keeping my stuff secure. If you aren't taking a phone with you to the pool you can just put those things in a pocket if your swim shorts have one. If holding that on your person sounds like too much hassle then I'd highly recommend a locker since theft at pools is particularly a problem.
