  • Pick 1 Cabana and 1 Club for BS

    Not-so-hypothetical question:

Going to Vegas for a 3 day weekend with a big group of dudes -- let's assume 15. Ages 28-34. Many of the dudes will not be club patrons in their ordinary lives, although a number have significant Vegas raging experience. Dudes also have a variety of budgets; a couple won't care if they spend $10k for the weekend, many more will want to stretch something like $1k. Very few (if any) will care about DJs so long as it's not terrible (anything at a T1 or T2 will be fine).

To accommodate everyone's interests and budgets, over the span of Friday morning through Monday morning, we are going to get a cabana one day at a pool (which we want to be our most epic party) and tables one night at a club. The rest of the time we will hit hotel pools, gamble, break up into smaller groups and do pre-sales, etc.

Which dayclub/cabana and which nightclub/tables? Let's assume the budget is $15k all-in for these two events.

Priorities are (1) epic party/great crowd, (2) enough value that we can afford it, and (3) if possible, that our cabana and tables put us in the center of action.

EDIT: I know lineups vary (sometimes quite a bit), but let's assume that each club is doing their typical thing: Wet has CH on Saturday, MDC has a second-tier name but still excellent DJ, etc.

    Pool Party:
EBC is absolutely amazing and with higher quality DJs this year I'd say they are still the strongest option for a pool party.

    Club:
Omnia's got the high quality and new factors working for it, but you'd probably end up at a lower tier location with that many guys and that budget depending on the DJ.

Drai's is supposed to have a great value for the money most of the time, but their DJs are really hit and miss and I've heard that can effect the crowds there.

XS is still popular because it's got something for everyone (great DJs, outside area, good layout, high but reasonable price point) but if you are the kind of people who don't want to repeat a venue I recommend going for Nightswim and during Nightswim a table seems totally unnecessary to me.

So that one's a little less clear, depends on what you value, I'd probably do XS on a non-Nightswim night, and still go to Nightswim since the experience for me has been different enough to not get bored repeating the same venue.

Without knowing the exact dates and dj's, I'd pick EBC and XS as my go to clubs. Omnia would be a dark horse if you go on a day that doesn't have a really big name dj like CH. I also don't mind doing nightswim and XS twice on the same trip. Not sure how you feel about that.

I love XS so I can't imagine that going Saturday and Sunday night would be anything but awesome.

I like the approach with EBC and XS. I do feel that they are the best clubs that aren't stratospheric in their pricing due to the names of certain DJs and being the newest on the block.

Sounds like you'd say to go to the best party and get the best spots we can afford, but not to go to a lesser club just to get the best locations. I also agree on this point.

EBC and XS are still at the high end of mins, don't kid yourself.

You could stack Lily pads at EBC with that many dudes, as long as your crew is cool with being in the sun all day. There are a few booths at XS that will fit your whole group.

At 15k for two venues, you really have pretty much everything open to you. I'd say an MDC Grand Cab would also be a good option on a Saturday.

For EBC, also consider lilypad + daybed combination. That way you can switch off and get a chance to eat (no eating at lilypads). May work better with 15 as well.
