  • Tao Beach Question

Heading to Tao beach in July and have a question for you guys. Never been there so I am not familiar with the layout. Going to be getting either a side cabana or a couch. Which one should we do? Which offers a better location and where is the DJ at? Thanks for the help!

Tao Beach layout is a little different, where the DJ booth isn't dead center at the very front of the venue - it's off to the left (if you're looking from the grand cabana).

That being said, every time I've been to Tao Beach, I've always been a part of one of the grand cabana's up front - choice location, imo. If I had to guess, I'd go with side cabanas, because it'll provide some shade.

grand cabanas are the best as the side cabanas are a bit out of the action

Depends how much you want to spend an how many people you have. I've done the pool side couches before, which obviously is easy access to pool, but also has good foot traffic.

Is the grand cabana all one giant cabana or are there a bunch of different cabanas? Are the side cabanas the ones behind the DJ booth?

I think there are 3 total grand cabanas.

Do you guys know who is the go-to host for Tao Beach this year? I used Donnie E. last time and he did a great job and was wondering if he was still there.

Also, do you know what the difference in f/b mins is between the side cabana and grand cabana on a Thursday by chance?

I also used to use Donnie, but I believe he has moved on to Foxtail.

Ty Riley, 808-373-0322. Thursday unless a big spender is in you can usually score them for the same min if you get there early. Thursday is a chill day relatively. The Grands are great on Friday-Sunday, but for a Thursday it really doesn't matter and the side cabanas have two chairs that you can offer to ladies to lay out on. The grands do not have those.

Yeah, he's with Cake now. SanDiego has too many actual clubs opening. Cake later this month or early next, then Avalon.
