  • EBC on July 11th - opinions for 10 ladies celebrating a bachelorette?

    Hey everyone,
I'm a JC newbie so I apologize in advance if my questions have already been answered numerous times. I'm planning a bachelorette for my best friend and one of her must-do's for our trip is to go BIG on the pool scene, which means hit up her (and my) favorite spot, EBC. We would be going on July 11th and Dillon Francis is the guest DJ that day (is he a big draw? I'm a wifey and a mom, so I'm not cool like 'dem young kids these days ), and there's 10 ladies total in our group. We want either a bungalow or cabana, even if we're a little more removed from the center of the action. We like the option of being part of the main action when we feel like it, or making some new friends and heading back to our own kinda private spot and having our own crazy party.

    My questions are:

    1. A lower bungalow is waaaaay out of our price range, but based off of the quotes I've seen, an upper bungalow is comparable to a lower cabana in terms of minimum spends. What amenities/advantages does one offer vs. the other?
    2. Are there different amenities between an upper cabana vs. a lower cabana? What about differences between an upper bungalow vs. upper cabana?
    3. Any recommendations of reputable hosts (both direct and independent) that I can contact for the best deals and solid service?

I have questions about nightclubs as well, but I'll meander over to the nightclub threads to ask those...

If you want to be in the action, upper cabanas are not worth the money. They are only really worth it if you want to make your own party and invite people up - but given its a bachelorette, this might not be as big an issue as if you were, say, a group of 10 single guys.

Anthony K was my guy at EBC but I think he has now left. I use Noah Ortiz for all my other stuff so perhaps he can hook you up.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

We'd rather have our own party and personal space than be in the middle of the action, that's why we prefer the cabanas or bungalows. I just don't know what the differences are between the bungalows and cabanas, other than the fact that the bungalows are bigger and have a private restroom. And I don't know what the difference (if any) is between the upper cabanas vs. the lower cabanas.

Yeah, I tried emailing Anthony K, and some dude named Ryan responded instead. He said Anthony wasn't with Wynn anymore. Anyone know what's the best way to get in touch with Noah? And what day/time? Is he the type to book things a month out or more like the week before?

Upper bungalows have private restrooms, lower bungalows have the same but with a private pool. No difference in upper and lower cabanas except on price and the lower cabanas are more in the middle of the action and easier to socialize and bring people back too if that's a goal for anyone in the group.

People are split on upper cabanas like ocam said above. My group has done an upper cabana for a bachelor party (15 guys) and had an amazing time. Smaller group also did a large Daybed straight in view of the DJ for LDW last year. Both were great but the Daybed was obviously much more in the action. If you're looking for your own space but still want to be somewhat in the action, lower cabana probably offers the best of both if you can handle the price.

Both lower and upper cabanas require wristbands and they station security at the entrances to only allow those with wristbands and people they invite in with them, so you definitely get your personal space.

We used Jai Shaun White last year and he was great, not sure if he is still at EBC.
