May 29th or May 30th - Ditch Fridays at The Palms?

Greetings, all.

I have a group of six that will be in Vegas May 28th to June 1st. We are looking to hit up a Pool Party on Friday or Saturday. (Ages of group: 29, 29, 28, 26, 25, 21)

The Birthday Boy read some stuff online and wants to go to "Ditch Fridays" at The Palms on Friday. Any advice on who to contact to ensure we get a good spot/get in..? Is it all it's cracked up to be, or would anyone recommend doing something different.

He said if Ditch Fridays doesn't work out, his second choice is Wet Republic.

Will be my second pool party every, and everyone else in the group is a first-timer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would "ditch" Ditch and do Wet or Encore Beach Club, or both. Both are way better options IMO. If the plan is to only do one pool party, I would go on Saturday. Calvin Harris is at Wet and Zedd is at EBC. Both should be awesome parties, can't go wrong with either. I'd personally do EBC Friday for Skrillex and Wet on Saturday. Hot 100, which is at Wet on Friday, is ok but can be a dude heavy crowd.

If most of your crowd is going to be popping their Vegas pool party cherries on Friday, they will no doubt want to do it again on Saturday.

There's a decent sized JC crew in town that weekend. We're hitting Drai's Beachclub on Friday and Encore Beach Club on Saturday.

For a cheaper option, Liquid is pretty solid on Fridays.

I've never been to Encore Beach Club, is it comparable in size to Wet Republic?

Is it smart to "buy tickets in advance" or try and contact a promoter/host..?

Daybed at Drai's and beach couch at EBC, but not enough spots for six left - If you hit the same venues, let us know though and we can meet up.

EBC is bigger than Wet by a sizeable margin.

Talked to a host, and Cabanas are pretty spendy that day. Don't think the group is looking to spend that kind of money.

So, my question... Do you guys recommend buying tickets at http://www.encorebeachclub.com/evt/405630149/skrillex# ...?

$30 per female; $40 per male... Will buying a "ticket" ahead of time get us in any faster...?

If we don't have our own cabana or daybed, do you guy guys have any advice on where to post up, options for not having reservations??

Pre-sale is fine at EBC, especially on Fridays. Just post up along the walkway in between the two pools, sitting on the edge of the pool. It's a great location.

That being said, did you ask about lillypads at EBC? Way cheaper than cabanas, and great location.
