I booked BS for EBC on May 3rd about 4 weeks back. Should I confirm the reservation with the host a few days before we get there?

Yeah never hurts to do so, especially if you booked it that far in advance.

EBC had me fill out a pre auth for my credit card to secure the booking so I'm hoping they'll stick to what was agreed and haven't changed the table minimum on me.

the pre-auths and pre-payments make it so the minimum stays the same, though the location can change.
