  • Pool Party Guidance

I sincerely apologize for asking questions that have probably been answered millions of times but...

This will be my group's second time in Vegas but our first time going to an actual pool party and we need some guidance. We went to a dayclub last summer and it was waaaay too chill for us. We're leaning towards EBC for Saturday but Daylight seems to get some love on the forums too. Suggestions? How much would we be looking at for a day bed, lily pad or whatever for 5 girls? What should we expect as far as the vibe? Hosts to contact?

Well as a group of girls you have some different options. You could just guest list and then cozy up to a group that has a daybed, lilypad, or cabana. You could try for a no minimum daybed with the option that the pool could sell it to a paying customer later in the day, this is often available at less popular pool parties. You could also just purchase something yourself. Guest listing is free, but you are at the mercy of generosity of other people at the pool. Relying on a free one doesn't always work out and you are never sure if you are going to have to move. Purchasing one is expensive but means it's actually yours.

EBC is generally considered the best pool party, and Saturday is typically considered the best day for a pool party. That said, it's also going to be relatively expensive at EBC on a Saturday. I don't recommend Daylight, a few others seem to like it, but many people on the forum would recommend Marquee Dayclub or Wet Republic over Daylight.

Vibe depends on primarily on the DJ and then on the venue. You get the most active and lively vibe with a popular DJ that is going to fill up the pool party. Typically EBC and Wet Republic have the most popular DJs on a regular basis, but Marquee Dayclub and Daylight also can.

As far as price is concerned it will depend on the specific pool party, the day, and the DJ, so it's hard to give anything specific, but the absolute minimum possible is usually $775, while you are probably looking at more like $1.5k. For host info I'd look at the host appreciation thread or just do a quick search.

Day of the week and pool party selection greatly impact the vibe of the pool party. EBC, Wet Republic and Marquee Day Club are the big name pool parties and will be packed. I have not been to Drais. Go to a big name pool party on a Saturday. EBC will crush Daylight in terms of vibe and number of people.

Thank you for being so helpful! EBC it is! And I think it's probably more worth it to purchase a daybed.

I tend to think Sunday is the best day for pool parties
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I think that was definitely the trend in the past, but I personally had conflicting experiences on recent trips. Last year EBC was surprisingly slow on Sundays to the point where I was getting offered guest listing with free entry for 1/1 ratios that I'd never see on a Saturday. This year though DJs are looking extremely solid every Saturday and Sunday, so both days are likely going to be extremely popular. The real difference between quality is Saturday and Sunday compared to Friday, which can be way slower. So yeah that probably should say "Saturday and Sunday are considered the best days for pool parties."

I agree. Never understood the nonsense some saying about Sunday being the best day but Saturdays is always tops for both day and night!

Love the spreadsheet. I'm going 7/24-7/28, too. Group will be at least 5 with about 6 others TBD. Will check back closer to the date for everyone's plans.

As a group of girls at EBC I would go with a lilly pad.

For Saturdays at Wet or Ebc you're going to pay full regular mins regardless of it being all girls. 1500 to 2k mims on the beds/lilypads. Sunday you will get a little more hooked up, possibly no min b1g1 etc.. Sundays W Popular DJS you won't notice much difference between Saturday. And also Sunday Nights u have xs night swim. Which is why some say Sundays are better, same good djs certain s days but half the price plus night swims at xs and eclipse (daylight)
