UFC Weekend JULY - tips needed

Hi,

me and a few friends are coming over for the UFC 189 event in July. We want to do a pool party Thursday and a bit more of a chilled 'pool day'on Friday.

So which pool party is best for Thursdays in July?

Also, we were deciding between the Wynn or the Cosmo for accommodation, which has the more fun crowd and better atmosphere around the pool? (not pool party, just normal hotel pool) we are all males in our late 20s and like to have a drink in a social atmosphere.

any help would be much appreciated.

Thursday pool - Liquid and Tao Beach are probably your best bet.

There's a lot of Cosmo love on these forums because of it being a "younger" crowd and has a lot of good bars inside.

You are much more likely to find a fun pool party on Friday, and a chill pool on Thursday.

For Thursday - Liquid or your hotel pool
For Friday - Encore Beach Club (EBC), Marquee Dayclub (MDC), or Wet Republic (Wet) are the best party pools, with EBC usually considered the best.

Overall Cosmopolitan tends to have a younger, more partying crowd on average, but most people consider EBC the best pool party and XS the best club and both of those are at Wynn/Encore, so there are definitely people with younger demographics and a pretty great convenience factor.

If you do decide on Wynn/Encore over Cosmopolitan, I'd recommend Encore since it is closer to both EBC and XS and has slightly larger rooms.

Cosmo has a better scene at both of their regular pools and a younger vibe, but both hotels are great.

We're also planning on heading out to Vegas fight weekend (July 11-July 12) for one night. There's about 10 of us from so cal going that weekend. We're thinking of Drai's / Encore (EBC) for the day, go to the fight, and then get a a table at Omnia. It seems ambitious, but we don't get too many times to do a group trip like this.

I've done EBC a few times, and I think it's better than Wet or Marquee. Never been to Drais, and I am tempted to try it for the first time.

With respect to "Sausagefest," it will likely be a little. But, won't be as bad as May 2 (Mayweather fight). Its going to be all dudes and call girls that weekend. I would avoid that weekend like the plague.
