Which hotel are you staying at? MDW is crazy busy, you shoul be there by 1pm easily if you just get changed at the hotel and drop your bags off with the bell desk (and formally check in later). DJ won't be on until ~3pm anyway.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

We are staying at the Westgate (first time, usually stay at Excalibur) since my friend had us comped there for the 2 nights.

I'd just wear a swimsuit on the plane, go straight to Encore from the airport, stash your bags at Encore's bell desk, and then you save even more time. No hassle of rushing around and cabbing twice.

I had just assumed he was from portugal, so an international flight in swimmers is a little rough !

last year i missed my flight and didnt get in till 11 or 1130am to vegas, It was friday of MDW and diplo was playing at EBC. I had presales and didnt take but 5 minutes to get in. I had time to check in at the elara, change, and pregame a bit before i got to EBC. you should be totally fine.

You're pretty much good unless you show up at a crazy time like 4 or 5 lol. 1pm is basically when it starts to get busy. The later you arrive after 1 the longer you'll wait in line, but you will get in eventually.
