  • Rehab Sold out

Kicking my self for not checking up on pre sale for Memorial day weekend but rehab is sold out for Sunday. Do I have any choices at this point or no?

Depends on what you are looking for. There are tons of other pool parties, much better ones at that in the eyes of most here. Now most of these will be EDM centric, so if you are looking specifically for a more open format / hip hop party (which your plan of going to Rehab might suggest), your best bet might be TAO or maybe the party at the Palms.

Yeah tao hasn't announced anything yet so I have to look out on that.

But back to rehab you think it be worth it to get there early for the general admission line?

Personally I think GA on MDW is a non-starter. It could work out fine with a wait that isn't intolerably long if you are there at the absolute earliest, but it's probably going to be extremely expensive. It's also the kind of thing where you can't know how long that wait will be before you get there and are standing in line awhile. There are plenty of pre-sales still available for other top tier clubs, so I'd just look at the other offerings and see if any of the DJs at Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub, or Wet Republic look good to you. Other options would be Daylight, Foxtail, and Tao Beach, but the top tier are known to have the best parties in town.

Short answer: No, it's not worth it to get to Rehab at ANY point, ever.

Long answer: if you're dead set on going to Rehab, you can take your chances lining up for GA for MDW. You'll want to show up likely an hour before the doors even open.

I've never quite understood the hate that Rehab gets on this forum. People are perfectly fine recommending second tier clubs like Tryst and 1Oak on a regular basis, but the second tier pool parties are looked at like the scum of the earth. Rehab still pulls in a large crowd, still serves big plastic cups of alcohol, still has sand, and still has beach balls. The crowd might not have the same ratio of perfect 10s, the DJs might be slipping in quality, and the number of sketchy looking people might be higher, but it's not exactly the end of the world. I wouldn't personally choose it with the number of the other options available, but I wouldn't choose 1Oak either, so I don't quite understand the judgement that some people have over going to Rehab.

The hate for Rehab has always been strong on this board. I've been to both Rehab and EBC and both were good. I think the majority of the board probably skews toward EDM so that's one of the reasons. EBC is calmer and Rehab can get pretty rowdy but that's how some people like it. Maybe the tv show made it into a mockery but you should take a look for yourself.

I went to Rehab once, had a great time, the crowd is different, the music is different, thats about it.... i also ran in to the same issue with tickets selling out for fight weekend... the fact alone that its the only pool party sold out at this point and they were charging $300 a ticket without a DJ being announced should tell you its not all that bad.... still wouldn't pay that much for a ticket tho

I agree. If you do GA at Rehab, show up at least an hour before doors open. But I recommend going elsewhere!

My friends and I (a multi-national, co-ed group of 8 to 13 people, depending on the year) stopped going to Rehab after MDW 2013 because that year it was completely disorganized (I've never seen anything so disorganized, anywhere), and also despite spending almost $10,000 on our suites (under 1 name), we were forced to stand in the same hours-long, GA hotel guest line with folks who had $70 rooms. And then treated like complete crap when I politely explained the situation. True story.

Too many classier yet as fun places that are not sold out -- We did Wet last year for MDW and had tons of fun. Us dudes even got our pre-sale tickets last minute with no problem.

I would say it IS bad - it means that its a bunch of dudes that came for the fight willing to overpay for an overhyped pool party. I'm sure it's better than a lot of parties you could go to... But that doesn't mean its worth it over the other options available in Vegas.

Co sign on the general bias towards rehab on the boards. To say definitively that ANY party should be avoided at all costs seems short sighted and completely absurd. Fact of the matter is this: The forums are comprised of people from ALL walks of life; whats viewed as 'lesser" by certain people is a completely subjective opinion. Human nature and individual preference comes into play...certainly forum members should give their account of personal experiences but, to be frank the only way anybody will be assured of what pool parties are right for them is to actually attend them!

For hip hop, Daylight is going that route I believe. Liquid we are also, hip hop. Wyclef is Saturday, Sunday DJ Mustard, possibly. Keep checking Rehab, they are taking big resos, not sure about GA

There is a place for Rehab, most of the people that don't like it, don't like an Urban music scene and crowd. The people that do like that scene are die hard and love it, that's why it's still packed on Sundays. A matter of taste/preference.... And if you're the only big pool catering to hip hop/open format.. well there you have it...
