Congrats on climbing back up the mountain. Always good to see people stay positive and get some post-traumatic growth rather than stress.

We need to know a few things before anyone here could really lay out a battle plan for you.

    1. Dates you are going
    2. Preferred Music (EDM/RAP/Top40)
    3. Budget (are you able to go big as it sounds like you want to make this a new beginnings trip)
    4. Hotel you are staying at

    Go BIG then go HOME

        Congratulations!
Realize vegas is very accessible if you want to spend a little or a lot of money
You can ride the city bus, stay in $50 hotel rooms, just hang around or get presale tickets to pool parties/ nightclubs
or you can ride in limos, stay in high priced hotel rooms and get dance floor tables or cabanas its really up to you.

1st Dates- realize if your going regular weekend or major event weekend.
Major events weekends- Rock in Rio music festival is May 15-16, Memorial Day weekend is May 23, 24, 25 and EDC is June 19-21
2nd hotel- if going low end look for no resort fee and location close to strip.
3rd pool parties / nightclubs post lineups which you can research and compare djs / performers find what you like
        Best

Congrats on the comeback from a tough time in life. I'm 45 and will make a few suggestions from my experiences.

Age doesn't really matter in Vegas. Personality is a plus.

Get a room on the strip and experience it. Hard Rock had it's day but has been passed by many and is off the strip and keeps you somewhat isolated. Casino was dead during the day when I stayed there this past spring.

Personally I've enjoyed Encore Beach Club the best. On the other end of the spectrum and a more down to earth pool is Flamingo's Go Pool which is 21 and over. Much larger range of ages at this one. Could work to your advantage.

Clubs are great but a hidden gem for our group, ages 35-51, is Carnaval Court by Harrahs. Outdoor bar/club venue that does dj and also live bands with music from all genres.

I filmed a big rave at the Brooklyn Bowl Sun the 28th and that place is INSANE and I bet you could find some great people there to meet.

Congrats on your recovery. Takes a pretty legit guy to have the mindset that you have after things that have happened. But that's in the past...time for that new beginning.

Sounds like with your budget, you will be able to experience a lot of what vegas has to offer.

Don't let age hold you back. Vegas is expensive anyway so it usually brings a slightly older crowd to the clubs then if you were to go to a local bar/club.

I'm 28 but tend to enjoy more of the social aspect of clubs vs hitting the dance floor hard. with that said, here are some suggestions.

First, I would look in the Get Connected section and link up with a couple people that are going the same time you are and also might be close to your age. This will provide a couple things.

One, you'll have people to go out with. Which is nice to at least have a home base of people to hang with instead of wandering around solo all night.

Second, you'll be able to split bottle service. You could prob split bottle service with a couple other people for $300 each night/day that you get it. Because this is a "new beginning" I would really recommend going this route at least for one night and one day. Ask any of the vets and theyll tell you the countless benefits of bottle service. (and its not crazy expensive if the people know what they are doing, which JC members do). Plus, since you are a little shy, this will make it easier to interact with girls/other people

Hotel: I'd prob stay in one of 2 places since you are going solo. Either Cosmo or MGM. Cosmo is a great all around hotel but its a little on the higher side budget wise. MGM is a great spot thats a little cheaper.

Clubs: Figure out when you are going and let us know. we'll be able to give you some suggestions on places to go while you are there. I'd recommend at least going to one tier 1 night club and dayclub.

Post up more questions as it gets closer to the date and we'll help you out. JC is a wealth of knowledge and they won't steer you in the wrong direction. Congrats on the new beginning and the new year!

I believe this year's mAyOD Invasion is during the time you are planning on going, I believe it's first weekend in June right after Memorial Day. If you would go during that weekend you will automatically have a big group of partiers you can join, most of them from this very forum.

Congrats on your journey - party like you earned it (cause you did).

Highly recommend Encore Beach Club. It ranges a little on the older average vs. Wet and it is top notch.

                        +1 for Encore Beach Club

Good on you for the way you've bounced back from your situation.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Good for you river!!! I think traveling solo can be the best fun you ever have!! No one to answer to, you go where you wanna go, nobody to babysit if they cant hang and noone to wait on bc they take forever getting ready lol... Have a blast and I suggest pool parties bc you can meet someone there for later on drinks or etc. If you can talk to people half naked you can talk to ANYONE!!! Also if you are going aroung mayOD it always seems like a blast and easy way to party with other cool people. Good luck to you fella!! Oh and +1 on finding a place with no resort fees. It adds up quick!
