  • ECB table options - best value for socialising

    Hi All,

We're planning on booking table service at ECB on 9/6/14 and were quoted the following min spends.

What is the best value option out of the below? There are 12 guys going, we're all quite sociable and like to mingle with others, so which is the best value option for us. We'd prefer a min spend of closer to $4k but might go to $5k if its worth it.

    Thanks all!

    $5000-$6,000 - 1st Floor Cabana (Beverage minimum) – up to 12ppl
    $4,000 - 2nd Floor Cabana (Beverage minimum) – up to 12ppl
$5,000 - Water Couch (Beverage minimum) – up to 10ppl
$2,800 - Beach Couch (2 side by side) (Beverage minimum) – up to 12ppl

$2,800 - Gaming (2 side by side) (Beverage minimum) – up to 12ppl

$2,800 - Andreas Patio Couch (2 side by side) (Beverage minimum) – up to 12ppl

Personally not a fan of the 2nd floor cabanas as it is just not in the mix with things.

Being on the pasty side Andrea's worked out well for me when we did it.

Mate just suck up the extra and take the lower cabana they are fucking epic and you get your own pool. Bitches love that.

The others arent worthwhile. Beach Couches are lame they're just sofa's and can fit 3 people squeezed on. Gaming and Andreas Patio... Nah.

I personally like Lily Pads the best. If you want to be sociable then they are the key as theyre in the water already so people gravitate to them.

So i'd either get two Lilys for you lot or the Lower Cabana.

People here hate on Upper Cabanas but if you have a large group - like you do, then they're great.

        Bro i think youre confusing...
the ones with the private pools are the bangalows. There are cabanas downstairs without the pools...
Im getting on of these on LDW, are they good or should i get 2 water couches or 2 lillypads?

I would second that... lilypads are awesome! Right in the thick of the action.

What do you guys think of daybeds as an alternative to cabanas and lilpapds?

I think they setup in the photo (if possible) would be pretty cool and it would be much cheaper than a Cabana

I dont remember if the daybeds have umbrellas or not.. if not, depending on how it is.. .might be uncomfortable.... and your ice will melt fast! They do get good foot traffic though.

Me and my brother just got back (last week). Our daybed min was $2100. Final bill $4100. Good luck on only spending $4k on 12 dudes....

If you're looking for the most fun and best chance to socialize get the water couch. You may have to pay cover for an additional 2 guys since it only "seats" 10. I'm I huge fan of these since they are in the dead center of the venue in the pool. The location basically "is" the party since your're constantly surrounded by people and the DJ is directly in front of you... as is the stripper pole.

If paying the extra cover bothers you, or you're looking for luxury/more space grab one of the first floor cabanas. May be a bit further from the action, but you can always start your own party.

                      cheers

                      Thanks for all the feedback

Probably going to book a lower Cabana, but like Max said, it'll be hard for us to keep under the $4k spend

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone have a contact for EBC?

Jaime helped me with booking a table.

I have been asked to fill in a booking form and credit card authorisation to reserve a table - is that standard practise?

I did too. It seems on every biggish weekend you have to.

I used Anthony K and everything went smooth as can be.

If it's a big weekend or a spot with limited availability (I.e. water couches - there's only 4 of them) they make you fill our a pre authorization form. I want to say the hold is 50% of your min, but they don't run anything unless you no show.
