  • Looking for a pool party for 15-20 guys September 27

    Hi there,

I am planning a bachelor party for the weekend of September 26th-28th. There will be 15-20 guys, and on Saturday we are looking for a venue for a pool party. While some of us would not mind spending quite a bit on getting wild, I do know that other guys probably don't want to spend over $100 during the daytime (sub-ideal but that is what we are looking at).

Anyways, what parties should I be looking at and who should I be contacting to get something fun set up? I've looked into Wet Republic and Rehab, and while those look great, the pricing also seems to be outside of what most of the guys would spring for.

Any advice or help would be fantastic!

Presales if you're on a budget. Or if you want a budget pool then try a cabana at tao beach

Hopefully you guys are saving the cash for an awesome night for the bachelor.

I would do y'alls hotel pool (wait, where are you staying?). Here's why. If you do a pool party you either have to show up early or run the risk on standing in line for an hour. If you show up early, that $100 isn't going to go far. IDK how much presales are but I think that would leave you $60-$80 for drinks. If you are going to see a certain DJ he's not coming on until 2pm or later.

If you decide to show up "late" (not at 11am) you may have to stand in line for a while and run the risk of people falling out. "I told you we should have gotten here earlier." "let's just go somewhere else" With 15-20 guys I can see this happening pretty quick. People will start to get frustrated, irritated and act irrational.

I'd call my hotel's pool see what it would cost for a cabana, I bet you could get 3-4 bottles and have some left over from the $100/person. I'm just guessing but I think that'd run you ~$300/bottle.

Max is right on that. Especially on stag parties and im assuming that saturday youre one or two nights in already, so getting 20 blokes up for 10am to get to a pool at around 11:00 - 11:30 is just not gonna happen.

Your problem is the size of the group and the fact that some people wanna spend $100. Thats crazy, quite literally lunacy.

So pool party wise its this. Encore Beach / Marquee Day Club are generally regarded as the best and by some distance. The new Drai's looks sweet but ive not been. Wet Republic has a good reputation but in my view its behind the first three and possibly Liquid at Aria. Rehab is not to be considered. Its good compared to pools elsewhere in the world, but in Vegas? Its the poorest by some distance.

Like Max says, if your hotel doesnt run a pool party its tough to organise. You'll have to have pre-sale tickets at the very least.

If you decide to get a cabana somewhere, then be sure to get the money for the minimum up front from your group, cos if 5 drop out then the price is upped for the other 15 and sorting that out SUCKS.

I've run into this situation before (and i might be running into it this weekend in vegas).

Ask for quotes for your group from a host at EBC/LIQUID etc.

I can tell you that at LIQUID you can get a cabana on a saturday for around 4k All-IN for 15-20 people

EBC will be 25-50% more than that.

          1. Find your all in price for a cabana for the pool parties you want
          2. Figure out what each of your real spenders will need to fork over to get the rest of the guys to $100 a pop
          3. Party

I wanted to do a party pit at LIQUID this saturday. 2.2k all in

I have 7 friends that wont spend more than $100 each.

Found some JC guys down to drop $300 each, i can put up $300, another guy dropping $250. Brings it to $150 a guy. Im gonna add one more and lower it to $100 a guy. It sucks but sometimes you have to carry the team to victory if you want to celebrate in style.

fuck that....I'd hate to be the guy dropping 3 bills while another guy gets to have the same experience for being cheap/broke and putting in only a $100 lol

tell em to go to the kiddie pool....once they get used to paying $100 while other people pick up the slack they're not going to see the point in ever ponying up the extra cash

If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

I can see where you are coming from and I DO feel the same way. You should be able to carry your own. But to me my fun/experience/time is worth a lot more than the effort of convincing them to spend more (and i've most likely already tried at that point). Im fine dropping a bit more but that means I have more weight in whatever the fuck goes on and they cant really argue with that.

If it's between no table and table i can afford it. If they can't they dont come next time. It's not like I won't remember they were cheap bastards

David Guetta is at encore beach 9/27 and guy presales are $65 each
So the $100 crowd could probably get entry and two drinks?

I agree couple of us usually float majority of our tables. We all have the same intention of having a good time and some of us are just more fortunate then others to one guy $50 might be like $500 to another.

I agree. And I wanted to ask about this.

The can't guys don't have it. And I have tolerance for them. It's the don't want to guys I won't pay for. "you know that bottle is $40 at the store, I'm not going to pay for that".

Know you're friends though, b/c some can't guys want to act like don't want to guys b/c they're ashamed (or whatever) that they can't afford it.

Before I roll with a group to Vegas, I always give them a heads up that the type of partying I like to participate in cost money. While some of them may not be able to go all out like I do, I want them to at least be able to contribute something (say 100-150). Usually about 4 of us end up carrying the weight. And if we are going to get a Cabana with 4 anyway (depending on the people I'm with) minds well let them give me their 100-150 to fill some of the open spots. I can use that extra cash to gamble with later.
