Regular cargo shorts ok for pool club?

I was wondering, do guys have to wear "swimwear" or is cargo shorts with sandals ok? I am going this EDC weekend. Thanks.

Swimwear mandatory you can wear cargo over them, but sometimes they ask to see it.

My understanding is you can wear cargo shorts OVER your swimsuit, but you need to have swimwear on underneath.

But yeah, most of the pool parties require you to have swim gear underneath your regular shorts. (Hopefully not cargo's or plaids)

They didn't let us into Marquee 2 years ago with cargo shorts over our trunks. My buddy stripped down right there. The bouncer told him not to do it there, but was like whatever and let us in. LOL.

Marquee is real strict...I've had issues with Tao Beach as well...just wear swim trunks to the pool..

Yes all the major ones do. I carry my phone in a water proof case. Driver license a CC and cash in a money clip. Done what else do you need. Board shorts usually have two pockets. If you have a cabana then they usually have safes or drawers.
