  • Is it necessary to look for a Concierge Service if a person is visiting Las Vegas for

As all of us are aware of the fact that Las Vegas is the hub of entertainment in the world. There are a lot of events and happenings in the city of which a new person is not aware of if he is visiting Las Vegas for the first time. So is it necessary to look for a good concierge service to get the updates and the transportation services in Vegas? If not then what is the second option to look for? All advices are welcome....

I've found this website to be more than helpful on numerous occasions - http://www.vegaschatter.com/

Also, you can get lucky with info on the Las Vegas Advisor website now and again - http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/

There are thousands probably tens of thousands of hosts/Concierges/promoters in vegas

three good general free sources of events/ info
twitter.com/robin_leach writes a weekend info column that comes out every Friday
      two free vegas weekly magazines:
      lasvegasweekly.com
      vegasseven.com

also you can look at night club/pool websites for lineups
and do a search on www.wantickets.com or www.stubhub.com

I am not exactly sure what you consider a concierge service and what events/happenings you refer too, but in general my first idea is no you do not. If you have some time to do your research you can figure out what's happening in Vegas during the time you go pretty easily.

This site is great for anything day/nightlife, Ticketmaster or LiveNation can always provide you with concert info. Vegas.com or the two sites mentioned by Philly can give you some good insights and you could even check-out the reviewjournal.com, which is LV's local newspaper. Also once you arrive you can always consult with your hotel's concierge if you have specific questions as to restaurants, tours or shows.

And if you have specific questions feel free to post them here in the different forums and we'll always try to help :-).
