  • Pool Party Pricing

    Hi,

I am trying to figure out cash to bring to vegas and was wondering what the top line would be for pool parties.
I will be coming LDW which i know is more expensive, but I am there the following weekend also so would possibly just do GA LDW and get daybeds following weekend.

What would be overall cost for, would consider Wet, EBC and Daylight.

    $2000 budget and

    $1500 budget

    Thanks guys

Not sure I understand what you're asking here, but if you mean can you get some real estate for $2k & $1.5k then yeah you can.

Wet is most expensive, EBC you'll get a Lily Pad / Beach Couch for that budget and youll get a daybed maybe a cabana at Daylight.

Get there early on LDW. I had a $6k cabana at EBC and was there at 11:30. At 12:30 there were guys turning up with $10k to $15k offers to get cabana's there so you could easily get bumped if you arent there early.

Depending on venue a $2,000 min will be about $2600 after tax and auto-gratuity. That doesn't include tips for host, runner, security.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

          As chuck says - about $2600. Youll need to tip the host $100 - $200ish, security $50 - $100, runner $50 i guess.

Basically its usually about 50% more than the price you are quoted once all's said and done. Maybe less, but its better to think higher than get a nasty suprise.

Of course you dont have to tip, and could get away with just the 28% Tax/Gratuity on top of your quote. But you know how that goes down...

I am all about tipping but sometimes I wonder that this is excessive. Don't hosts get paid from the venue also?

Before anyone starts going in on me, I tip well, I am just wondering.

If you tip 30%-50% at the end of the night, does none of it go to the host/security/runner/waitress/bartender/cleanup crew/chair stacker/bottle service flashlight holder?

You tip the host, security and runner in advance to make sure everything goes smoothly. The host can select your location, the security can bring you friends and keep enemies away, the runner can clear your table, reload ice, etc. often. Those are all people that directly impact your enjoyment. Look at the tip on the front end as a bribe.

                Bang on.

To me the most fun tip is the security tip. More often better at nightclubs. He will escort you to rest rooms by parting crowds like the Red Sea, he will do anything for you really, and its also helpful if one of your group is wasted and he will turn a blind eye.

We had fun at XS one night with a particularly funny security guy called Geoff who would eject anyone we asked. All it took was a call "Geoff" - he looked over, we looked at the guy who was acting like a dick, or annoying us. They were ejected.

So it was you that had me ejected lol just kidding.

Is there security at pool parties? I am sure they are somewhere, maybe with the cabanas. But I can't remember to ever having security at a daybed.

Nah they arent so prevalent at pool parties, I guess there's less need for them. They are around alot at the upper and lower cabana's at EBC but not the day beds
