  • Day Club Handshake Amount (Repeat Question)

My apologies for a repeat question (from me and others) but I need to keep asking until I find someone with experience. I have a grand cabana at MDC booked for a Saturday in a few weeks. The DJ is Ferry Corsten. The same day Calvin Harris is at Wet and Avicii is at EBC. The minimum is of course huge. $8K. EBC has jacked up the minimums for the grand cabanas. What is the right handshake? I've tipped $500 at nightclubs and at Wet. Is $500 sufficient? That seems sizable but not so much when compared to the minimum.

you must really like ferry to be spending over $10k all in
    wow
keep in mind drais will also be open that weekend and the list price of a grand for them is $7k

That is plenty. I think most people forget the hosts dont expect handshakes so when you give them anything, it is appreciated.

More like $12K all in. I don't like our plan at all but (without going into detail why) I don't get to decide this piece of the trip. 60% of our total budget will be spent at MDC on Saturday. I would rather do GA at MDC and then spend a big chunk of cash on Zedd at XS on Saturday night. MDC will be fun. It will be slammed and a great party. Just not a good use of funds.

i don't want to get off topic here, since the question has already been answered. However, I'd strongly suggest explaining that 60% of the budget will go towards this one event. A few people may be a little unhappy about this if each person is contributing an equal amount. It also would not hurt to contact cosmo about booking a Bungalow. I bet you could easily get one for under 12k if any are still available for your date. 12k is just outrageous.

we should prob stop talking about cheap bungalow pricing on this forum, before demand goes up and prices go through the roof. lol

Thanks for the advice on the choices. My group has been going to Vegas 3 times per year for many years so all are well versed in the nightclub and day club options and the relative costs. The others want to do a grand cabana this trip and I was out voted. So we are doing a grand cabana.

Yes - but what other people are saying here is you enquire with Cosmo about the BUNGALOW costs. Not the cabana/grand cabana etc. The bungalows are 3 floored suites with bars etc, are incredible and have direct access to MDC. As others have said, im almost sure you would get one of those for less than $12k per night. As such its a serious consideration to think about cos the Bungalows at Cosmo are pretty much the best thing you can have in Vegas!

Those Bungalows at MDC sound awesome. Do they also include access to Marquee at night? Also I assume for the Bungalow you bring in your own alcohol as it is a hotel room. Is this the case? If yes can you bring that alcohol in to the dayclub/nightclub?

At 6k per day that would be a sweet deal if you can indeed bring in your own booze.

The bungalows were not available when I booked a couple of months ago but you are motivating me to try again. My dream trip to Vegas is a bungalow during a Kaskade weekend.

This thread went completely away from the OP's original question lol. As to the original question yes I believe $500 is fine as a handshake, if you're lucky in Vegas or feeling generous you could always add a couple hundred but I think you'll be fine with your original amount.

How much was the bungalow and what day of the week did you use it?
