  • Pure nightclub?

When I went to Pure a few years ago it was a so-so place. I know it doesn't get a lot of love on this forum for valid reasons. Has anyone been to Pure recently and what would you expect it to be like on a Sunday night? The reason I ask is I'm invited to a party there tonight with free entry and a two hour open bar. Is it worth my time for the free booze or should I just go someplace better and not waste my evening there?

You can't hate free booze. Tonight is the ACM awards so I wonder if there will be a pretty good showing everywhere that is open tonight after the show?

FWIW, Pure has acknowledged the need to change and (allegedly) will be closing at some point this year for a remodel and to open a day club in the space by Serendipity.

Pure is a fun club. It does need a facelift but is unique in its own way. We were there on a Saturday night and it was hopping - we had a great table. I imagine Sundays are slower. The Bank is hot on Sunday nights as is several others. We were there last year on Sunday on the night of ACM awards (1 year ago tonight). Now I'm getting pumped. We fly in on Wednesday!!

Apparently that Pure remodel has started -- http://vegas.eater.com/archives/2014...-here.php#more

"The nightclub's adjacent Las Vegas Poker Room is being vacated and heading over to a 3,983-square-foot space formerly occupied by the resort's Sports Bar... The switcheroo will add 8,500 square feet of expansion space. If the private poker tournament room just north of the main gaming area is also part of the plan, that will free up another 6,000 square feet for Pure to merge into."

I was at Pure in Nov on a Sunday (after party for the Rock n Roll full and half marathon.) It was fun, open bar was vodka drinks. Contacted the host for guest list and got right in. DJ played mostly top 40.
