  • EBC: David Guetta on LDW (May 25)

    Hey guys,

I got quoted for EBC on May 25 (David Guetta) as follows:

All Minimums have a 28.1% Tip and Tax added on top.

Lily Pad (Beverage min only) $2100min +200
Day Bed (Food and Beverage min)$2800 min +200
Upper Cabana (Food and Beverage min) $5k +400
Lower Cabana (Food and Beverage min) $7,500 +500

There's 4 guys in our party. I'm leaning towards a Day Bed, getting some food should be nice. Or would you consider the Lily Pad the better option? Some shade might be a good idea as well.

    Thanks!

In my view the Lily Pads are the best thing in EBC, better than everything except perhaps the Lower Cabanas which are epic.

However with a group of 4, its pointless having a lower cabana as A) its major expensive and B) there's not enough of you. Sure the host will bring you girls if you hook him up but its not cheap.

Day Beds are lame, as are beach couches. Do you want to lie down in the middle of the party?

A lily pad give you a base, is in the pool, or on the edge so you are bang in the middle of the action, you get a parasol so there's shade and they're the cheapest. The only thing you cant have is food, but thats no biggy, if youre hungry just eat by the grill.

Lily pad is $3000 once youve paid your taxes and all that.
    Day bed $4000
    Upper cabana $7500
    and the lower $11000 approx.

If you pay an extra grand for the day bed you must be nuts, but if money is no object, take the lower cabana.

      Hi tomm0,

      great advice, thanks!
A Cabana would be a waste of money, I agree. Lily Pads sound great!

Quick question about the minimum: how do they calculate in terms of hitting your minimum? If we order, let's say 2 bottles for $1.050 each, we're good? How about sales tax and the 28.1% tip?
I'm not sure how we're going to spend $2,1k on drinks anway, I just looked at the menu. That's like 3 bottle of Goose with some $ to spare. But then again, I've never been to a Las Vegas Pool Party before and I'm sure we'll find a way to spend the money

They are the best thing I think.

So yeah as long as you hit $2100 you're good. Basically, you're paying that whether you order enough or not! Most places let you take bottles with you if they're unopened so dont fret too much!

Tax + Grat is 28.1% total, something like 20% tax, 8.1% to your waitress. So its

          min: $2100
          tax/grat @ 28.1%: $590
          Handshake for host: $200
          TOTAL: $2900

You should also tip security and the busser. $50 would be cool each i guess, takes you to a cool $3000.

How you drink that my man is another guess. Three litres of vodka between 4 will fuck you all up. Remember its hot in Vegas! Dont be that dude thats wheeled out in a wheel chair at 5pm!

Basically - give drinks away to chicks. Good thing in EBC is their cocktail jugs are delicious. Get into them.

Those mins actually aren't too bad for MDW.

4 guys on a 2100 min with no food is rough. Especially, when the mixed drink pitchers are so cheap and tasty. We went one year to MDC with 10 guys. We got tons of pitchers, food, had another 40 or so AOD members around and still only were at 1500 at around 4pm. Eventually just got Ben a bottle of champagne to spray just to kill the min. Of course, Chappy spending a grip on his own might have had something to do with that. Ah, good times.

With Guetta being there wouldn't they also add the 10% LET tax on the total?

Thanks for the input, guys. Highly appreciated.

Tip security and busboy, stay hydrated and pace ourselves. Got it!

Anyone else with an opinion regarding Day Bed vs. Lilly Pad?
