Need Advice for Bachelor Party Saturday May 3rd...

Guys,

I'm not the best man, but I am coordinating the pool party for about 10-12 guys on Saturday May 3rd. Right now in my budget is a beach couch at Encore Beach Club for 8-10 people and a cabana at Daylight for up to 12 people. The price is pretty close to one another. I am figuring that if more than 10 guys show up, hopefully we can tip one of the bouncers/hosts to let them in with the rest of the group. I've been to Wet Republic, had a table, this was about 4 years ago and we had a great time. We did a Cabana at Daylight last July when Krewella was there and also had a really good time. I've never been to Encore Beach Club, but I hear it is the best...Any input is appreciated...I've got some pricing from Wet Republic and Marquee, but they are out of the budget for our group size...

Just wondering what your budget is, because the way I can see you priced out at WR and MDC is because Kaskade is at MDC and a similar big name is driving mins up at WR. That is Cinco de Mayo weekend so don't be shocked if the mins move up by your trip.

Trying to keep it around $200-$250 / person all in with tax & Gratuity for 12 guys...So I guess around $2500 min before the tax & gratuity...EBC is now telling me that they are gonna charge me more if I have 10 people at the beach couch vs 8...which makes it out of range...

Have you asked upper the upper level at EBC? You might be able to swing that price range up there, and the location really isn't too bad. Good view of the area.

Otherwise, you can go a step lower, and check out Tao Beach, Liquid, or Bare.

In that price range you'll get more for your money at Tao Beach or Liquid.

Upper level at EBC would be the biggest waste of money I could think of. I'd do GA 10 times out of 10 over upper level

^ whats the issue with upper level? Reason i ask is because im thinking of getting a bottle there but its only 2 of us. So im assuming with a 1 bottle min our location will be somewhere in the upper level

OK so firstly - upper level isnt lame - its still EBC, you just have to make your own party more up there. IE have a big group of guys and girls. If you're up there with just two of you its a waste of time. I had a fantastic time up there one labor day sunday but we had 9 girls with us and 8 guys, it was a brilliant day.

Secondly - its not cheap, its the second most expensive real estate at EBC as the bungalows are huge. Expect $5k minimums.

Thirdly - Im not even sure you can get a one bottle minimum at EBC? It's pretty much dyed-in-the-wool $1000 - $1500 for an entry level there?

To the OP - This "rule" about 10 people/8 people at your couch or whatever. Ignore it. Just book it for 8, get two people to go in pre-sale, then once you're in just use the couch as your base. They aint gonna count you every 5 minutes. You are free to invite whoever you want to your cabana/couch/whatever.

Ive done pool parties in General Admission and also crazy-expensive cabanas. The times I remember being better are when i've been in General admission. You move around more, you get chatting to more people. You dont NEED a cabana like you need a table at a club. I'd seriously consider this when you're booking this stag party mate. Youre much better off pooling your money and spending bigger at night clubs.

You have to also remember these are day events when you invariably roll in half cut at 12 from the night before. It can be difficult to drink through a $5k minimum if your boys arent big time ready to get fucked up. If you can drink almost a litre of vodka in 120 degree heat, after a skin full the night before you're a better man than me!

Dont be that dude rolled out on the wheelchair slumped to the side!

^ thanks for the info, I've never been so pardon my ignorance. I was actually quoted a 1 bottle min on "Andrea's patio" before and just assumed that was on the upper level but i guess not. Hows the location of andrea patio?

Agreed with everything Tomm0 said. You are very far removed from everything on the upper tier. Pool parties are very fun GA, I personally think tables are much worth it at night clubs than day clubs, but that could just be me.

Have to agree. It's a pool party, unlike a club where location is pretty much everything, view the cabanas etc. as more of a luxury than a necessity. Also agree that if your doing it right at night why spend what you're talking to basically end up struggling to finish bottles in the middle of the day and possibly wrecking your night?

Yeah, Andrea's patio is on the far side of the pool and a little out of the way. I could see you getting a low min there. With pools it's all about how you party. For a bachelor party, if this is going to be your big day/night get a cabana and just go for it.

The lower your numbers get the less a cabana or daybed make sense.

There's a few "couch" type seating options. The one in the water was a 3-4k when big DJs were there but there are the couch/tables right on the side of the DJ booth that were in the 1500-2k ranges. It was crazy in there, you have to break thru the crowd dancing to get to the pool, but I thought it was fun area. Lily pads fun too for that budget. I try to stay toward the center there as much as possible. Between DJ and Gaming area.

Yes, I'm not sure a cabana on that weekend will be in the 3k range at Daylight, I can see for that Saturday it going higher because I'm sure there will be a big DJ. I'd shoot 4-5k to be safe. Saturdays, in my opinion, you really can't go wrong anywhere during this time of year. I've been to all of em too many times and each Pool has it's Pros, so to me Saturdays are just about taste/preference/music/budget/etc.. I think EBC is the nicest looking pool cosmetically. If Daylight has done all the improvements, it should be right up there. Daylight is the best place to see a real performance or DJ, the stage is sick.
