Palms Pool

Headed to Vegas 7/20 weekend for my birthday. Seeing if anyone has been to the Palms Pool? Wondering what the music is typically like on Saturdays & what are the minimums for daybeds/cabanas. As well as host contact.

Palms is going down the rabbit hole with their sound. That weekend some terrible R&B has been is headlining ditch. Kinda sad. Had looked into booking a cabana for ditch that weekend but bailed once I saw the lineup.

Chad noyes is your palms guy... Though cabanas are still overpriced for what they're doing. At this point Kaz w light group has earned my trust.

Where did you see the lineup

I think if you like the want more hip/hop top 40 urban scene seems like this is the pool that goes that route. Most of the Acts are hip-hop guys, some new some old. Palms hotel does have a less affluent crowd from what I've seen these days so that could come into play with the scene there also. I'm not sure it's totally dreadful, but may not be the place for some. Don't rule it out, but contact a host there, should be some contacts listed on this site.

Ya, Palms is clinging onto a more urban music feel and separating itself from EDM, at least it seems. With Lineups like Kelis, Wale, Taboo instead of anyone from across the pond is a little bizarre, but hey. I had a decent time last year based on the venue not the experience. Its still an awesome place, I just wish they would try and go with what everyone is doing.

There's still a niche for that market and if you're the only one doing it, you can make money. That's what it's all about, and again, a lot of these pools are supported a lot by the hotel property they are located on, hence you see a lot of the trendy, Euro, EDM crowd at the "top" pools, etc.. they can stay at the hotel and party there and pay 300-500 a night for a room. Palms has become more of a value hotel, still nice but definitely cheaper so ..

Does Palms still charge separate fee for daybed/cabana plus cost for F&B? I saw that on a few threads from last year that they did.

From what I was recently quoted no it's just f&b min like everyone else

No I understand that, I just wish they would cater to me, ha, Palms was my favorite place to stay, loved the Palms Place Suites Hotel, their sport book, their tables, and especially their late night McDonalds spot located perfectly for me.
