How is Marquee Dayclub on Sundays (non huge DJ) and the lounge chair situation?

Planning on going Sunday 6/30, EDX is on that day? Nothing huge it seems. Was quoted $300 min for a pair of chairs, two girls, one guy right now.

Is it worth hitting up for the day? We are staying at Cosmo, not really too interested in journeying off to EBC/Rehab etc. Maybe would do Liquid.

The chairs are first come first served if you come early I hear? I assume the chairs next to the pool are the prime spot?

I also heard that on Fri/Sundays possibly Cosmo guests get in free/get a +1? Thanks for the details if anyone has them.

for 300 I would hit that up if you still have energy from the weekend.

You could wake up, dress in casual clothing so you can get thru security (guys: shorts, sandals and a tee, girls: short shorts and a tank and sunglasses), doesn't have to be bathing suits or girls with their faces on and head down there right when they open grab your wristband, chair spot.

Let your waitress know you're staying at the cosmo so you're gonna go back up and get ready for the day, grab a quick bite somewhere if you don't want to spend your minimum on the food there then come back like around 1230-1 when the party starts picking up and start your partying.

MDC is usually my Sunday go to dayclub. I've never had a bad time there on Sunday. Still a very good party. This year though I think I will try Daylight on Sunday.

Someone at Marquee told me chairs are first come first served no charge..but then a host told me $300 minimum spend per pair, but no reservation, just name down and first come first serve get there by 10AM.

Feels like just a way to force a minimum spend, no? I do not mind at all, will not be hard to hit but I just wonder what the deal is there. Are they free or not? lol

Thanks - I would've been surprised if MDC had any sort of free chair regardless of what time you get there on a Sunday.

What would be an appropriate tip for a host that reserve a pair of chars on Kaskade Sunday? Would there be a food and beverage min if we got the chairs first come first serve?

im not sure being from the uk kaskade isnt a big deal to us, however when i went marquee was told its one of the most busiest nights so i assume everything will go up in price, im sure theres other people who are more in the know

Every Sunday that I'm off, I pretty much hit MDC. It's awesome, and the perfect amount of people. Good mins for the real estate and service is really good. I would hit Liquid (but I work there, haha) Both are similar on Sunday in terms of the crowd size and type of crowd, with Liquid playing more hip-hop/top 40 from what I've noticed. MDC still goes mainly EDM even without a headliner.
