Bottle Share Question

Hi, I am heading out 7/3 -7/8 with my Gf and another couple. We would like to do bottle service Sat and Sun at EBC, Marquee, or Daylight and we were kicking around the idea of bottle share. We got the idea from this site.

How do you go about making sure the people you do the share with don't stiff you?
Do both parties give the credit card?

Any tips would be helpful?

There are a few ways....the most common way is to meet at a predetermined location an hour before you need to be at the club and whomever setup the table collects the cash from the others. You can then keep the cash and pay for the table on a credit card, or just tell your server that you will pay cash as you order the bottles.

When you get the quote for the minimum, add the tax and auto-gratuity (30%), add the amount you plan to tip the host, and add any additional tips for runner/security you plan on tipping out. That way everything is covered. It's nice to have a little extra cost built in (like $20-40 per person) just to make sure everything is covered. It's easy to give people money back, tougher to collect more after everyone has budgeted to a lower amount.

If a credit card is a must, then you can use PayPal or GroupMe to collect money from others. But fees are involved with both.

Bottle sharing with new or old friends, I recommend always using cash. You can figure out the exact amount based on minimum spend, 30% (as noted above, this is exactly what I use for tax/tip too), and host tips. Split it all out, and everybody pays cash to one person, who then pays all cash to the club/pool. My reasoning for using only cash is that everything is covered up front, but also when you are all shit rocked later, there is no chance of somebody ordering another bottle on somebody else's card.

Regarding PayPal, there is a way to avoid fees: the person sending the money must select personal - although I believe it only works with existing PayPal balance or bank account transfers, if transferring to your friend from your credit card, the fees are still there.
