Hitting Vegas July 4th weekend from the 4th-7th. Need Friday 5th daytime recommendations.. Being as it is going to be a holiday weekend, I'm sure all the pools would be a good choice depending on DJ...never been to a Friday pool party, usually i go Saturdays... What have you guys experienced on Fridays and how was it?

I've been to Tao Beach on a Friday and to Ditch Fridays at the Palms.
My Tao Beach experience was only cool cause LeBron was there...since then I've been disappointed at the turnout cause Tao Beach is small. I've since replaced my Friday daypool experience with the much bigger Ditch Fridays.
You'll have a great time during the July 4th holiday, but I agree, it depends on the DJ and the crowd that they bring.

Interested in recommendations for Fri 7/5 as well. Will be in town with a group of 20 people in their late-20s, 6 or 7 couples and the rest singles. Even ratio of girls/guys.
Curious what is the best approach for getting a cabana without blowing the whole wad. Should we split the guy/girl ratio, keep together, etc?

What is the wad, most places will have at least a $2500-3k+ min for a cabana on a holiday friday. Also, evereywhere will be packed, and most will have a special DJ talent, so without knowing the lineup, it's hard to figure. You also will have the new kid, Daylight to play with, so there's a lot of ifs that may need to play out before deciding.Originally posted by SuavePenguin View PostInterested in recommendations for Fri 7/5 as well. Kaz, thanks for the reply. I'm planning on waiting til after MDW to get it lined up, but I based on what I'm seeing here, we are budgeting around 150-200 per person. Is 1 cabana with a ~3k min enough to get 20 people in without too much hassle?Originally posted by kazflair View PostWhat is the wad, most places will have at least a $2500-3k+ min for a cabana on a holiday friday. We are staying at Mandalay so Daylight is a front runner due to proximity/ease.

I would imagine that EBC/Daylight/ MDC/Wet will have a 4-5k+ min for cabanas that day and some kind of decent/big DJ. Liquid/ Bare/Tao prob 2500-3k range, Wet may have some party cabanas (smaller ones in this range). Once the lineups are announced that will help with a better idea of the mins. Tough to say on people limit, from my emails about Daylight, they may cap entry limit to 15 then the rest have to do cover, I don't think it would be too much to get 15-20 but much easier if everyone arrives at once. Again, I haven't noticed too many pools being that tight on the number of cabana guests if it's 10-20 people range.Originally posted by SuavePenguin View PostKaz, thanks for the reply. There is some little suggestion about party if like to consider it. Now a days, there are various types of Marquees available in the market. They are well-furnished with lights and furniture as par requirement of you. Color-full lights are always used for parties.Last edited by Anderson001; 10-11-2013, 02:29 AM.
