  • Wet Republic April 27 - Question re daybed location

Hoping I can get some feedback from you folks. We have about 5 guys and 6 girls. I'm planning my bf's birthday and have a budget of about 2-3k. I've been to Wet before, but vaguely remember the whole layout (too much drinking every time I'm there). Wondering if people know where the best location is for a day bed? Most of the guys will be standing and we just want an area to call home base. I saw there are some near the cabanas at the far end opposite the DJ and some clustered close to the bungalow. My boyfriend prefers being around the action and my fear is I'm dropping 2-3K on a spot that's too far from all the activity. However, given that it is Calvin Harris playing, it sounds like it'll be crowded everywhere, even around the small pools close to the bungalow.

Thoughts? Is it better to just drop 3K on those lounge tables behind the DJ to be around all the activity? A friend of mine told me that area sucked because it's too crowded there.

    Thanks guys!

this is a older map- but will give you an idea

I would say around the main pool

Keep in mind lounge tables are behind the dj and covered by a roof-
Dance deck is facing the dj and uncovered.

artedm - thanks. We decided on a day bed because everyone wants sun instead of being covered by the shade... plus I think everyone wants space to move about and the bar area can get really cramped. Thanks for feedback.

I've seen the map before and it's too bad they don't update it. For example, in some videos, I've seen that there are "couches" in front of the day beds near the entry way. B/c this sat is Calvin Harris, I don't want to have the view blocked. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to tip the host heavily to get something I like the day of.

By the way, has anyone booked through Josh Westerman or Rich Kenny? I was referred to both of them by different friends.

I was at Wet 4 years ago and Rich hooked it up. Worked the minimun down and made my group a good deal on a daybed. Do you happen to have his contact info?

We got a nice spot - a daybed right across the DJ by the main pool. Tiesto did make an appearance for a bit which was a great surprise! There are these couches directly next to the pool edge that are in front of the daybeds so maybe next time we'll get those. We still had a great view of the pool and DJ area.

Got there about 11:20am and there was already quite a line. Our group was 50/50 girls and guys so they allowed us to bring in about 10 ppl under my daybed reservation. We had one girl who came later around 2pm who they let in with my table after she talked them up. One sad point - a gf and I wanted to spray champagne on my bf for his bday and do a small lap dance but security stopped us mid lap dance because its a "public pool." I guess the tongue licking didn't fly too well.

Overall, everyone got plastered and loved it

Anyone think the daybeds located in front of the party cabanas right next to the main pool would be a good spot, especially for female traffic?

Who is the best host to contact for Wet Republic? I'm looking at getting a daybed or something for Monday 24th June to see Deadmau5! It would be 2 girls and 1 guy.
