Flamingo Pool Cabana

Has anyone hired a cabana here?
We always tend to hire a cabana on day 1 to get over the jet day and ease our way into Vegas, however the prices seem waaaaaaaaaaay higher than normal for a middle of the road hotel pool?

There are 7 of us and its for the week beginning 15th April.

Sunday-Thursday
Cabanas: $200-$300 rental fee with a $50 per person food and beverage minimum
Daybeds $50-$200 rental fee with a $50 per person food and beverage minimum

Friday
Cabanas: $500-$700 rental fee and a $300 food and beverage minimum
Daybeds: $200-$300 rental fee and a $200-$300 food and beverage minimum

Saturday
Cabanas: $1000 rental fee and a $600 food and beverage minimum
Daybeds: $200-$500 rental fee and a $200-$500 food and beverage minimum

These prices seem pretty insulting....

Most people here, including myself, don't do cabanas anywhere that have a rental fee. Just fyi, rental fees are a sunk cost and don't go towards your food and bev minimum. Any of the day parties, Marquee, Tao, Drais, EBC are a better option as there is no rental fee, just a f&b minimum.

That is what I thought, I just wanted to double check unless it has changed in the last year.
So it is an absolute con, like I thought
