Pool Party - Sunday June 16th - Where to go?

Hey All!

Heading to Vegas for the first time from Australia and can't wait to hit up some pool parties before heading to EDC the next weekend.

From what I can see reading this forum Encore beach club and Rehab seem to be good picks for the Sunday 16th June.

There will be 4 of us going 1 guy and 3 girls and looking to do a daybed/table so what are peoples recommendations and what sort of deals do you think we would be able to get?

We prefer EDM/House/Dance music as well if that helps narrow down which is a better pool party to hit up.

Hey mate, if that's the kind of music you are into, then scrap Rehab. It's more of a Spring Break vibe and isn't EDM.

That leaves you with 4 places:

(a) Encore Beach Club - last year this was the best place to be on Sunday. For a group of 4 and with that ratio, I'd recommend either a lilypad (no food on the lilypad allowed since it's in the water) or a beach couch (food allowed, but they're outside of the water). A great list of DJs - Avicii, Steve Angello, Eric Prydz, etc.

(b) Daylight @ Mandalay Bay - this will be opening in late May and will probably be the "it" place when you get there as it will be under a month old. Has Axwell/Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia on its books, as well as Alesso, Thomas Gold and Nicky Romero.

(c) Wet Republic @ MGM - this place is a touch (but not too much) more wild than EBC. It has a much better lineup than last year since all the Hakkasan DJs will spin there over summer (e.g. Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Laidback Luke, Hardwell). A lot of the action is in and around the pool, so a daybed etc isn't as important as other places. Still, if you can afford it, then go for it.

(d) Marquee Dayclub @ Cosmopolitan - you've said you like "EDM/house/dance". Marquee is the best place for trance, so I'm not sure whether or not that is your kinda thing.

There aren't "deals" at these places, they are all VERY POPULAR and put simply, people pay the prices that they charge.

I think you'll struggle to get away with anything less than a $1k minimum even given your group size and ratio. Not sure if you know how it all works, but a $1k min actually works out to $1500 all-inclusive after taxes and tips (i.e. $1k min + $80 tax + $200 auto gratuity + $150 host tip + $50 security + $20 busboy tip). So you're looking at $375 a person - it looks steep, but when you factor in the cost of entry (often $50-100) and drinks at $20 a pop, it isn't actually all that bad.

I'm in oz too, but have a few hosts on whatsapp/facebook so I'm happy to get some quotes for you. Just let me know. No matter what you choose, you'll have a great time -- that's the amazing thing about Vegas, you can have a great time at any 1 of 5 parties all going on at the same time.

If you are interested, you could see if other people on the forums are keen to split bottle service with you (see the GET CONNECTED forum). This might result in some cost savings.

In fairness to Rehab, it might be a Robbie Rivera 'Juicy Beach' weekend, but otherwise there are better places to be.

Awesome thanks for all the tips! Alright so looks like Rehab is out and EBC is looking like the go and will defiantly be doing a table or daybed. Anyone have any good contacts?
