  • Bachelorette Party MDW - How Does This Work?

    Hi,

I'm planning a friend's bachelorette party Memorial Day Weekend. We definitely want to hit up the pool parties and there will be 12 girls. I know this is a really busy/popular weekend there, will it be difficult to get on a pool's guest list? I've been to Vegas but only in the winter and not on a holiday weekend so I'm not sure how this all works. Also, I know every pool will have a big DJ so does that mean there's cover and if you're on the guest list do you still have to pay cover? This isn't a big deal but I just want to make sure I give the girls all the info. I've been stalking JC for the past few months and I'm so happy I found it! Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

    Hi Jen

Wynn/Marquee have announced MDW lineups already
Light/Daylight- Hakkasan/Wet republic should announce soon (look at who resident djs are to get an idea)
tao/tao beach/lavo- Rehab, etc, etc will announce a little later

That being said MDW is a crazy busy time. So once all the lineups are out I would talk with the group and see if anything really stands out. Then ask a host for free entry but presale tickets for girls are around $20-30 each so if a lot of the group 100% wants to attend a certain event presales are a good way to go. If your group is more flexible in terms of where you go/not to concerned about big name talent then you could probably find free entry.

Thanks!! I'll definitely start reaching out to the pool hosts asap.

As far as clubs go...I think we want to do BS one night I'm just not sure where. It's the bride's first time in Vegas so I definitely want to make sure she goes to XS or Surrender but Hakkasan sounds like it's going to be sick and I, personally, need to go there. Would you recommend we get a table at one of the bigger clubs or somewhere a little smaller like Hyde 1oak (I think they're smaller?) earlier in the night and then maybe get on a guestlist at the other places? Again, I know MDW is going to be crazy busy, I feel like I have no idea what I'm in for (and neither did the bride when she picked that weekend...). Also, we don't want to spend a TON of money since this weekend is going to be more expensive as it is. We don't NEED to get BS but if we could get it somewhere for a decent price it would definitely be nice to have somewhere to sit.

Don't get a table in one place "earlier in the night" and then leave for another! That's an awful idea. If you're going to do bottle service on only one night - go all out and have a great night.

Minimums will be high though for MDW.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

          Jen-
So bottle service generally starts at 1 bottle per 3 people= $500+20%+8%tax=$650++ so for 12 people 4 bottle min= $2600+ You could try for a smaller table with a lower min and send in part of the group with tickets/guestlist but for girls just plain entry is going to cost 10% of whatever a table will cost.

You have to realize that once you get in the club its highly possible that you could end up at some guys table.....

Watch the lineups and see what you like.

Btw if you contact a JC host telling them your story, they may have specials for large group of attractive ladies ready to party. Remember, they want to attract girls!

Great! Thanks for the tips everyone! I know there's a chance we could meet guys and get invited to their table but we're all in our late 20s and have done that whole scene and we definitely prefer to just have our own stuff, rather than hovering around trying to flirt and mooch. Definitely going to contact some hosts soon.

You are singing my life with your song!! Lol I'll be interested to know how things work out, my friends and I are going to be in town the weekend after and have a similar situation.
I'm not bitchy, I'm just drawn that way.

@Tara Denise I noticed that! I saw that your bachelorette party is the following weekend and I was thinking, man! Too bad it's not reversed, we sound like very similar groups. Either way I will definitely remember to let you know what worked and didn't work for a group of girls this size!
